Our team recently had the pleasure of working on this beautiful 1970 MG. It is proof that auto glass definitely isn’t one-size-fits-all!

Fun fact: The MGB debuted in 1962 and went on to become the best-selling MG of all time, with more than half a million produced across its different versions. Even more impressive, its classic body shape remained largely unchanged throughout its 18-year production run. 🇬🇧🏁

When it comes to a classic like this, replacing the glass requires a little old-school know-how, plenty of patience, and extra care around the vehicle’s original and restored components. We love getting the opportunity to work on cars that have been on the road longer than some of our technicians have been alive! 😂

So yes, we work on classic cars too. Whether it’s a 1970 MG or your 2026 daily driver, our goal is the same: treat the vehicle like it’s our own and get the glass installed right. 🔧

One of our proudest accomplishments is the long-term relationships we’ve built with our local first responders, towns, and municipalities.

It’s always a pleasure welcoming members of the Hartford Police Department into our shop, and we don’t take their trust in us lightly. They depend on their vehicles every day — and when one comes into our care, we understand that it’s more than just another piece of glass.

Our team takes extra care throughout every step of the process: safely moving these specialized vehicles in and out of our garage, working carefully around emergency equipment, completing the installation, and thoroughly cleaning the interior to ensure glass and debris don’t interfere with the equipment officers rely on.

The last thing a first responder should have to worry about is the dependability of their vehicle when they’re heading out to do their job.

We trust our first responders with our safety every day. We’re incredibly grateful that they trust us with theirs. 💙

Thank you to the Hartford Police Department and all of the local departments, municipalities, and first responders who continue to put their trust in our team. It’s a responsibility and a relationship we’re proud to have.

OUR 2026 PAYLESS/ AGS PUP : BRUNO 🐾

This week, in honor of National Dog Day, we hosted a company-wide Cutest Dog Competition! From August 25th–27th, our pups went head-to-head in a bracket-style showdown to crown the ulti-mutt Payless & AGS Pup.

The winning dog, Bruno, receives a $50 gift card to a pet store and a donation to Protectors of Animals in his name 🐾

Thank you to everyone who joined in, shared photos, and helped brighten our week with your adorable dogs. It was very sweet to see all our friends and family rally behind us💚

Today is apparently "Relaxation Day." We'll take it. 😌

Fun fact for anyone who's been with us a while: we used to be open on Saturdays. That changed during COVID, when we were considered an essential business and stayed open the whole time to keep people safe on the road, while a lot of things around us shut down.

When things started to normalize again, we made the call to give our team their Saturdays back. It's one of the small ways we've tried to take care of the people who take care of our customers.

So today, we're taking the theme seriously. Rest up. We'll see you Monday.

Can you actually tan through your car windows? 🚗☀️

Asking for myself, honestly. Because nothing is more tragic than a summer road trip with zero tan lines to show for it.

Here's the tea: your windshield is basically the SPF 100 of car glass, blocking almost all UVA and UVB rays, so no tanning happening up front. Bummer.

BUT your side and rear windows? Tempered glass, not laminated, so they only block about 70% of UVA rays. Translation: that arm hanging out the window catching some sun on your commute is not doing nothing. 👀

The catch (there's always a catch) is that also means sun damage and aging on whichever side of your body faces the window. So if you're a highway warrior logging serious miles, a little sunscreen on your driving side arm isn't the worst idea, unless you enjoy having one arm that looks 29 and one that looks 45.

And on that note, if you're riding around with a shattered side or rear window right now, we definitely recommend getting that fixed ASAP, because unfiltered sun is a whole different story. Nobody wants to end up looking unmasked Deadpool by the end of summer. 😅
