🚗 Motor Tip Monday 🚗

Did you get a “low tire pressure” alert on your dashboard this morning? With the cold weather settling into southeast Alabama, you’re not alone. As temperatures drop, tire pressure can decrease by about 1 PSI for every 10-degree drop, even if there’s no leak.

We recommend checking your tire pressure during this cold week and inflating your tires to the manufacturer’s recommended levels. Proper tire pressure helps maintain safe handling, improves fuel efficiency, and extends tire life.

After an accident, there’s a lot of misinformation out there—and most of it helps insurance companies save money at your expense. Let’s clear up a few common myths:

❌ Myth #1: “I have to use the insurance company’s preferred shop.”
✅ Truth: You have the LEGAL right to choose any repair shop you trust. Insurance companies may “recommend” shops, but the decision is always yours. Period.

❌ Myth #2: “If the insurance approved it, the repair must be correct.”
✅ Truth: Insurance approvals are based on cost control, not always on manufacturer repair procedures or long-term safety. Proper repairs should follow OEM guidelines to protect your vehicle’s value and your safety. If it wasn't approved, we will handle the process to have it approved on your behalf.
