We wish we would’ve looked at this business’ Google, Yelp, and Facebook reviews before we rented a machine from them! We had an excavator dropped off for a “24hr” rental and took pictures of it while it was on their truck to show the time stamp of when it arrived then took pictures as soon as they unloaded it of all the damage (scratches, dents, and track wear, etc). They brought it out to us at 11:27am for a 1 day rental. We used it for the rest of that day and told them that it would be ready for pickup by 11:30 the next morning. We went to get fuel for the machine on the morning it was to be picked up and when we got there to put it in at 10:15 it was already gone! We called and explained it wasn’t supposed to be picked up until 11:30 and was told that the driver was already in the area and went ahead and picked it up. So basically we didn’t even get it for the full 24 hours, but that’s not even the worst part! When we got our next credit card statement we noticed there was a $2,000 charge from this business! We called and spoke to a very rude man that said the charge was for the refueling which he said was $200 and $1,800 for a damaged track! We told him that we kept the machine in dirt the entire time as we were just digging a trench for a French drain and didn’t even hit or run over any rock. When we asked to see pictures of the damaged track he said we was welcome to stop by and see it in person but when we got there 30 minutes after the phone call he said the track had already been disposed of then asked us to leave!! This business is nothing but a bunch of lying crooks! We tried to dispute the charge with our credit card company and they said that the contract we HAD TO SIGN IN ORDER TO RENT THE MACHINE also gave them permission to charge our card without our knowledge! We know for a fact the machine or tracks wasn’t damaged and our money was legally stolen from us. It would’ve been cheaper to have paid an excavation business to have done the work for us than to have done business with this scam artist! We now see that all of the NEGATIVE REVIEWS this business has ARE REAL and like someone else pointed out if you read their 5 star reviews you can see where they’re getting people to falsely give them to him as some are from women with the same last names as the men (husband and wife possibly?)
I’d highly recommend everybody to not do business with this business as they’re straight up crooks and I’d even be skeptical of hiring any of the names and businesses he (Dane Fette) tags in posts of people looking for recommendations to have work done. As the saying goes birds of a feather flock together.
