Three years ago and still accurate today 🤣

Or when my service advisor takes a break and I have to check a customer out.

Let’s properly diagnose the check engine light on this 2008 Nissan Frontier 4.0L!

Like one of my instructors said, don’t go, “Bang, an O2 sensor.” Put the parts cannon down and test it first. It turned out to be a faulty air fuel ratio sensor.

Diagnosed using the Matco Tools MaxPro scan tool which works on European and other imports.

Come diagnose a 2017 Audi A3 transmission malfunction with me.

Featuring the Matco Tools MaxPro scan tool. It has the ability to display multiple modules at once and perform bi-directional testing, which helps improve diagnostic accuracy and time.

It also has more adaptation, relearning, and reset capabilities than what we were using before. I honestly don’t know how we lived without it!

I’ve been working on some cool diagnostic videos this week. As soon as the brand reviews them, they’ll be going live. Stay tuned for those!

I just did a two-mile walk/run, planned the week ahead, and now it’s time to meal prep and clean. What did y’all do this weekend?

Brake flushes aren’t just shops trying to upsell you.

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture from the air over time. That moisture lowers the boiling point and starts causing corrosion inside the system.

Add in the wrong fluid or years of neglect, and you can end up with this… Avoiding basic maintenance risks damaging the calipers, brake lines, and ABS module.

Do you prefer taking things apart or putting them back together?

This has been a debate between me and Pedro. He prefers putting things back together because he knows where everything goes.

I prefer taking s**t apart. I think it's because I feel rushed going back together since I'm juggling that and the business side of things too.
