PSA: A $2 fuse won’t fix a fog light that's doubling as a fish tank. 🐠

If your fog lights are holding water, your vehicle automatically fails PA State Inspection. Here is the reality check:

❌ The Illegal "Hack": Having someone drill holes in the lens to drain the water isn't a clever fix—it’s inspection fraud. Intentionally breaking a sealed housing directly violates PA Law (67 Pa. Code § 175.80). We refuse to do it.

✅ The Legal Budget Fix: Fog lights are optional in PA. If you can't afford expensive new assemblies, the cheapest legal fix is to have us completely remove the broken ones. You pass inspection, save money, and stay 100% road-legal.

We don't do hack jobs, and we don't bend state laws just because someone doesn't like the answer. If you want your vehicle repaired correctly and legally, we're your shop.

Happy 15th Work Anniversary, Mark!

Today, we’re getting a little sentimental as we celebrate our Lead Auto Technician, Mark, hitting an incredible 15 years with our shop family! Over the last decade and a half, Mark has become the absolute heart and soul of this garage.

He is a master under the hood, but you can't work side-by-side for 15 years without accumulating some hilarious memories. We will never forget the high-pitched shriek Mark let out when a rogue squirrel launched itself out of a customer's engine bay directly at him, that sound will echo in this garage forever! 🐿️

We also have to mention the time he accidentally crushed Kenny’s fingers. Don't worry folks, Kenny still has all 10 digits and has mostly forgiven him by now. 🤣

Jokes aside, it is incredibly rare to find someone with Mark's level of unwavering loyalty. His patience when mentoring our junior techs and the way he treats every single car like it belongs to his own family make him truly irreplaceable.

Thank you for the grease, the grit, and the endless laughs, Mark. We’d be lost without you! 🥂🔧

Check out this "flooded valley"! Chrysler 3.6L engines have a knack for turning oil filter housings into mini lakes. We upgrade to metal housings to keep your engine dry and running smoothly. Say goodbye to leaks and hello to peace of mind! 🚗🔧

Using the recirculation button in your car’s AC during a heat wave is a smart move. It keeps the cooler air inside the vehicle by preventing hot outside air from entering, allowing your AC to work more efficiently. This not only helps cool your car faster but also saves energy and reduces engine strain.

⭐ A 1-Star Review Made Us Better

Recently, we received a 1-star review because we couldn't perform an emissions test on a vehicle that was showing "Not Ready."

The truth is, we were following Pennsylvania law. If a vehicle's battery has been disconnected, replaced, or the computer has been reset, it must complete its emissions readiness monitors before it can be tested. We can't override that process.

But here's what we learned: while we did our job correctly, we didn't do a good enough job explaining why. That's on us.

We know it's frustrating when your vehicle isn't ready for testing, and we'll continue working to better educate our customers while always following the law.

Maybe admitting where we dropped the ball isn't the best marketing strategy... 😅 But we're human. We won't get everything perfect, and when we miss something, we'll own it, learn from it, and do better the next time.
