Heathers need for speed!
Growing up, Heather always dreamed of owning a Mustang. As soon as she landed her first major job, it was the very first thing she bought, a 2013 5.0 Mustang GT. Complete with a glass roof, a manual transmission, and one of the absolute best color options available, Ingot Silver Metallic.
She bought the car with a hurt transmission and immediately swapped it for a Ben Calimer Stage 1 unit just so she could have some fun. When she met her boyfriend, who drag races, he encouraged her to take it out on Jake’s dragstrip for fun since there was only one other stick-shift car in the event. The driveshaft snapped right on the launch! But once they replaced it, the adrenaline took over, and she became hooked on pushing the car to go faster and faster. Best of all, every single upgrade on the car has been a DIY project built by Heather and her boyfriend.
After running naturally aspirated last year and winning every track event she entered, she was ready for a change. This year, she’s boosted, running a T56 transmission, Advanced Clutches, and full BMR suspension. Now, they are putting a cage in the car before heading to Mustang Week to compete in the Street Kings class!
