After a thorough review of their resources, Jasper County has elected to return the grant funds earmarked for our cause. While disappointing, I understand their decision as they have many programs in dire need of improvement. Additionally, the land once thought available adjacent to the new YMCA is not available either.

While this may feel like a setback, I'm still confident we have the support & means to build a track - we just need 5 acres. Spread the word and help us find a home.

Hi everyone, today Jasper County held their Strategic Planning Session which touched on several upcoming projects. Our BMX track was one of them. First, I'd like to say thank you to Jasper County for believing in this project and taking the time to find a suitable venue for us.
My concerns are however, despite our suggestions to consider a central location along East Argent, which would simultaneously serve Hardeeville, Ridgeland, Okatie, Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head and Savannah, they are focusing on an area further north below Yemassee. While we support all growth for BMX in the state of SC, I strongly feel location is paramount for our continued success and longevity. After all, it's not just building the track, it's building the family of riders and volunteers who will call it home. While their "Exit 33" location is just a proposal, I'd like to hear your thoughts on placement. Good, bad? Or your best ideas for location? Thanks!

It was a good meeting today! Lots of talk regarding location. As we want to serve as many people as possible, convenience will be key. I personally feel the East Argent Tract is a central hub to all neighboring cities. This 15 mile radius includes Hardeeville, Ridgeland, and Bluffton with nearby access for Beaufort, Hilton Head & Savannah. To me, this is our best case scenario. (keep in mind, Jasper County has the grant, so a track location in Beaufort County is out)

Hey everyone, wanted to post a quick update. Following my meeting with the master planning group, I met with a director of the new Hardeeville YMCA being built along 170. He feels an adjacent track would complement their programing and would consider a partnership. This is great news. However, Jasper County is also considering a track location further North, but their plans and timeline is unknown to me. I'm going to request a meeting with their new Parks and Rec Director and the YMCA to explore potential options. If both parties are open to it, I'd love to make East Argent our new track home. Thoughts?

Just returned from a Jasper County Parks & Recreation Master Planning workshop. It was nice to meet with other area stakeholders and determine ways to benefit our residents and sports programing. Supported our need for public swimming facilities, multi-use fields, and of course a sanctioned BMX Track for all our aspiring riders. Jasper County BMX Racing Advocates.

I was delighted when a friend told me that Hilton Head Town Council unanimously approved the new Master Plan for Crossings Park! In addition to many great sports, our riders will soon have a Pump Track to enjoy! Thanks Mike Manesiotis and all involved!
