State Inspections
Will be ending January 31, 2026
Here are questions I have been asked.
What do we do?
You can choose not to get an inspection. Most repair garages, including ourselves will still be offering them. We will still charge $45.00. It still takes time about ½ hour to perform.
What about the sticker?
You can remove it or leave it. We have not been given any guidance on this from the state. I do know we have been asked to turn in all our stickers to the state. So, we will no longer have them
Part 2 of this question. How will I know or remember?
We are working on making a sticker for this purpose if you would like one. You can still get an inspection when you get your car registered.
If you have your car regularly serviced or at least maintenance services done here or at the dealership. Not so much quick l***s. We always check over your car. Make sure everything is good and to warn you of future repaired so you can plan accordingly. I think we all know the dealerships do this bc I get the book of repairs you need all the time.
I will be doing a series of post explaining about inspections. Each week I will go into depth for each component. If you leave questions I will try to address those also. To start here is a list of what is checked in an inspection.
This is directly for the State of NH DMV website. Here is the link giving you more information. https://www.gc.nh.gov/rules/state_agencies/saf-c3200.html
