An OMI brass UP SD70M with custom weathering, fading and rust…inside is a LokSound decoder w/ EMD 71016G3B prime mover 🎶 This model is from 2001 and has been updated to a modernized appearance including yellow sill striping & PTC antennas.

Another custom weathered “Primed For Grime” Athearn Model Trains Genesis UP SD70M. This unit came factory applied with peeling primer, rust and other unique details…it really pops after the weathering is added! Inside it has a LokSound decoder installed with a Scale Sound Systems speaker.

A custom weathered Athearn Model Trains Genesis UP SD70M from the “Primed For Grime” series. Athearn did a good job with this unit applying a faded yellow, worn red lightning stripe, primer replaced radiator fan, rusted sunshade, replaced battery box doors and also a mismatched door on the engineers rear side. It also features modernized details with the PTC antenna. We have enjoyed weathering these models and have another (5) units lined up right now.

This pair of Athearn Model Trains UP SD70M’s from the recent release received upgraded LED lighting, ESU LLC Loksound with our custom SD70M sound file, Scale Sound System speakers and light to medium weathering.

Enjoyed running a couple of our custom early 90’s grungy SP locomotives last weekend, the trailing 3 units are recent acquisitions that will be overhauled, “Lobotamized” and turned into run thru power for our DRGW layout (in progress)!

Please excuse the “flashing” walkway light on the lead locomotive, this is an illusion caused by the brightness of the LED and frame rate of the video. It is not visible in person.

SP 8313 is a Scaletrains SD40T-2 “Snoot nose” with distressed lettering, SSW 9395 is a highly modified Athearn “Primed For Grime” SD45T-2.

Test running this pair of Athearn Genesis UP SD60M’s recently completed for a customer, both units feature added details, LokSound, a fully array of LED lights and custom weathering.

A pair of ScaleTrains CPKC ES44AC’s completely customized with upgraded LED lighting and added lights including lit computer screens, overhead cab light, and step lights. Inside it has a Scale Sound System speaker and our custom LokSound file for the ScaleTrains GEVO (available on our website) with a K5LA option such as on this 4805 unit. 9375 received light weathering and 4805 received medium per customer request.
