A pair of heavily upgraded early Athearn Genesis GEVO’s, the original factory Tsunami sound was removed and upgraded with the latest ESU LokSound 5 with added PowerPack, Scale Sound Systems speaker, full LED lighting including, truck, step, walkway, cab & gauge lights. A custom weathered SCALETRAINS SP SD40T-2 with their “distressed lettering”, I applied additional fading and the heat damage from the dynamic brakes. Internally it has new brighter golden white LED’s, stratolite beacon from Aaron Heine Electronics and an upgraded Scale Sound Systems speaker paired with an aftermarket LokSound installation.

One more SP! Well technically Cotton Belt, a basic Athearn RTR “Primed For Grime” SD45T-2 spruced up with a few details including: front coupler cut bar, scale Kadee couplers, plated class lights, etched brass steps, truck brake airlines, air dryer and fuel tank details, lift rings, etc. internally equipped with LokSound 5, ESU PowerPack, Scale Sound Systems speaker, LED Stratolite beacon from Aaron Heine Electronics and a heavy weathering job!

UP 9647, famous for being the last Dash 9 in original Southern Pacific paint and also a little “toasty” 🔥 This highly upgraded SCALETRAINS model received added LED’s for step, cab & gauge lights, decals, renumbering, layers of paint patching and the eye catching burnout from a failed turbo. While the prototype was repainted in 2014, the customer wished to bring this unit into the modern era with the addition of a PTC farm.

A faded and grungy eSPee SD7R from Scaletrains updated to fit an early-mid 1990’s appearance with plated gyralights and added beacon. Inside it features a Scale Sound Systems speaker upgrade and new LED lights.

This Athearn RTR SD45T-2 was fully revamped for a customers fictional railroad including LokSound, ESU PowerPack, all LED lighting including added front/rear flashing ditch lights & roof stratolite beacon. The added details is where it gets really interesting, a cab interior was fitted, an open cab door using Cannon parts, windshield wipers, replaced dynamic brake fans, ATSF style beacon mount, anticlimber with new handrails, snow plow, MU/air hoses, coupler cut bars and more! The paint is ex-Bessemer & Lake Erie with BN style nose stripes, repainted and/or primer hood doors. If you have a vision for your own railroad we can make it come to life!
