What makes Best in Show?

1) Show Stoping Appeal - Consistent crowds around a vehicle. If it’s getting a lot of attention throughout the day, it is or has something special
2) Build Quality - Anyone with money can pay $ for a build but there are just some vehicles where the continuity is perfect. You can see how the planning, ex*****on and passion came together to create their personal masterpiece.
3) The vehicle and owners story - it’s amazing because everyone you talk to has a story on why they built their vehicle. The machines that take the trophy are the ones that are group efforts and show what a community can do. i.e. been in the family for 3 generations and each has maintained or improved it over the years or someone who built a vehicle that has never been done before and probably never will again (a 513 cu. in. engine in a Morris Minor with giant fake teeth in the grill to make something outrageously silly)

We cruise around during the show and look for these things, stop and talk to the owners. One thing for sure is we never know what we might see in a given year!

Another one for the books, thanks for all those who attended and braved the rain to find the sun. Special thanks to all our volunteers, supporters and sponsors for making this event happen. As a reminder this event benefits the Coastside Adult Day Health Center and so every person who came out today helps support a great local cause. See you next year!
