☀️ Extreme Heat Reminder ☀️

With temperatures climbing and the heat index expected to soar, we encourage everyone to take extra precautions when spending time outdoors.

Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can happen quickly, especially during prolonged exposure to the sun. Stay safe by:

* 💧 Drinking plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
* 🌳 Taking frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
* 👒 Wearing lightweight, light-colored clothing and a hat.
* ⏰ Limiting strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
* 👶👴 Checking on children, older adults, and pets, who are especially vulnerable to extreme heat.

Know the warning signs of heat-related illness and don’t hesitate to seek medical attention if someone shows signs of heat stroke.

Take care of yourself, look out for your neighbors, and let’s all do our part to stay safe and cool during this stretch of hot weather. Stay hydrated, stay cool, and stay well! ☀️
