HAGERSTOWN TRAFFIC ADVISORY: South Potomac Street
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, South Potomac Street will be closed to through-traffic near the railroad crossing at Howard Street while crews repair of a pavement depression.
A detour route will be posted to direct northbound and southbound traffic around the closure. Drivers approaching the closure should expect to encounter cones, barricades, detour signs and other traffic control devices.
The work is expected to be completed and the street reopened to traffic by 3 p.m.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: S. Potomac Street
Work crews from the City’s Department of Public Works will be repairing a pavement depression in S. Potomac Street; this work will require a temporary street closure.
Therefore, beginning at 7:00 AM on Friday, August 21st, South Potomac Street will be closed to through-traffic near the railroad crossing at Howard Street. A detour route will be posted to direct northbound and southbound traffic around the closure. Motorists approaching the closure should expect to encounter cones, barricades, detour signs, and other traffic control devices. It is anticipated that the work will be completed, and the street reopened to traffic, by 3:00 PM.
Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this section of S. Potomac Street while the closure is in effect.
