As seen in the picture the Bunker Trailer has the camper, GolfCart and car on the trailer. In the Bunker is A/C, twin bed, closets, flat screen 12volt cooler, coffee maker and a portable shower. After 10 years of use, the trailer has some stress fractures so I pulled the bunker off to make repairs.

Rewind:
I got this Ole 48 Fleetmaster 2.5 ton truck on the road last year. The chassis is a 1992 P30 motorhome chassis shortened 5 feet, Dana 80 rear, 4 wheel disc brakes and 19.5 wheels and tires. A 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 was the donor truck for the powertrain, pedals, brake system. Powered by a 12 Valve 5.9 Cummins Diesel with a 5 speed manual transmission.

After getting it on the road, I discovered it was a motor oil hog! In addition the 4.63 rearend ratio had the motor’s tongue hung out at 55mph. We tore the motor down in frame and installed new pistons, rings and bearings. I pulled the 4.63 ring and pinion out and installed a 4.10. It is now a beast! Still more to do but man what a truck. Thanks:
Lance Davis
Garrett Jacobs
Charlie Davis
Tony Barletta
Johnny Miskelly
Who all contributed to the project.

Recently traded for the former “Dirt Man” 63 Biscayne roller. It has had a rough few years since that first picture in 2019, not sure who the photographer of the picture was at Steel In Motion or I would sure give credit for the great shot. The body has badly rusted under the paint, the 9” rear had the wrong axles, and no shocks. It has had a lot of fabrication and adjustability built into the rear suspension, the fuel system was intact and the interior isn’t bad at all. I dropped a SBC 408, Super T10 4 speed, 4.56 gear, new axles, new shocks, new ignition system into it. You will see it on the streets around Groovytown in the near future!

Trying to get my visions mocked up this winter. I must do the majority of my fabrication projects during the cool months. The Georgia summer heat is grueling to me. This is a Big Back Window 60’ Chevy Apache pickup body I picked up in Anderson, SC a few years back. I decided to put it on a 4x4 Blazer chassis. I had to extend the length of the Blazer frame 11”. The body is not yet mounted to the frame but this way I can move it around as time permits to work on it.
