Christmas hits differently when you realize your parents were up all night making it feel magical.

The lights.
The stacks of wrapping paper.
The cookies that somehow disappeared while you slept.

All the little moments you once thought just happened.

Now you’re the one awake long after midnight, quietly wrapping presents, softly reminding your partner to adjust the stockings, carefully tearing tape so no one wakes up. Making sure Santa gets everything just right.

And suddenly… you understand.

Why they always looked tired in Christmas morning pictures.
Why the coffee pot was already empty before dawn.
Why the house smelled like cinnamon rolls so early.

They were doing exactly what you’re doing now. Turning love into memories, fueled by devotion and caffeine.

And maybe that’s the true magic of Christmas.
Not Santa.
Not the gifts.

But realizing the magic was never pretend at all.
It was your parents the whole time.
And now… it’s you. ❤️
