What a comeback weekend! 🏁 Dusted off the cobwebs, put the new Spec Miata and the Turbo car to the test, and even got to battle a sweet Ferrari in Time Trials. Proud to come home with three P2 finishes & and two P5s!
Here’s how the Spec Miata races broke down:
🏎️ Race 1: Started P3 and battled hard up front, leading for a few laps. Unfortunately, 3rd gear started grinding and the tires got greasy, but we still fought to a solid P5 out of 18.
🏎️ Race 2: Started P6. The car started running a bit hot, which cost us some power, but we pushed through and held on for another P5.
🏎️ Race 3: Started P6, and the car was absolutely on rails from start to finish! Got caught up in some early battles and fell about 4 seconds behind the leader. I put my head down, reeled Wyatt in by the final lap, and finished just 0.9 seconds behind him at the checker. Hard-fought P2, and a huge congrats to Wyatt on the win!
Massive thanks to NASA Great Lakes for putting on another incredible event. We had a blast and are already looking forward to the next one.
