Made it through the qualifier. 🇮🇹

Now onto the real thing.

1,500 miles from Genova to Trieste, double-handed on a Figaro 3. The qualifier gave us a pretty good idea of what we’re in for — now it’s time to get the boat sorted, get some rest, and get ready for a long one.

Pretty stoked to have made it this far. Next stop: Trieste.

A hell of a weekend for the Captain’s Boat Care boats at the Safe Harbor Regatta.

🏆 Honey Badger — 1st in class
🥉 Habiru — 3rd in class

Honey Badger had a fight all weekend, racing against Warrior Won, a full pro Cape 31 program, and ultimately taking the class win by just one point. Couldn’t have been much tighter.

And on the J/121 Habiru, the crew fought hard from start to finish. They gave it everything they had, battled through a tough fleet, and came away with a well-earned 3rd place.

We’ve put a lot of work into the bottoms of both of these boats, and weekends like this are exactly why we do it.

A race bottom isn’t just about making the boat look good sitting in the slings. A fair, smooth, consistent underwater surface reduces drag and helps the boat accelerate, hold speed, and stay fast when the margins get small. And when you’re racing for seconds — or in Honey Badger’s case, a single point — those margins matter.

Huge congratulations to both teams. Well fought, well sailed.

Some projects are more than just another job.

Congratulations to the team on an unforgettable Newport to Bermuda Race victory 🏆 First to Finish, First Overall, and First in Class.

Being trusted to help prepare a boat of this caliber was a privilege. From keel refinishing and fairing to hull detailing, servicing the winches and furlers, and helping with the final race prep, our team took great pride in every detail.

Offshore races are won by incredible sailors, but they’re also built on thousands of hours of preparation. We’re grateful to have been part of that effort and to see it all come together with such an amazing result.

A special thank you to for his leadership and for trusting Captain’s Boat Care to be part of this campaign. We truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working together again in the future.

Congratulations to everyone involved. What a campaign!

Captain’s Boat Care was honored to get the call from the Black Jack 100 team to help prepare this incredible yacht for the 2026 Newport Bermuda Race.
As the first 100-footer to enter the race in more than a decade, Black Jack 100 is aiming to make history with an outright record attempt across one of offshore sailing’s most iconic courses.
From final preparations to race-ready details, our team was proud to play a role in helping get her to the starting line.
Fair winds to the crew as they take on Bermuda.
