The City of Griffin and InSpalding are proud to recognize Dick Morrow as the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Independence Day Parade, in honor of his lifetime of service and unwavering dedication to our community.
A veteran of both the United States Air Force and United States Army, Dick also enjoyed a distinguished career as a Delta Air Lines pilot before continuing his lifelong commitment to serving Griffin-Spalding. Over the years, he has served as a City Commissioner, Mayor of Griffin, and Spalding County Commissioner, while also owning a local business and volunteering on numerous community boards, including the Spalding County Water Authority and the Griffin-Spalding County Airport Authority, where he has been instrumental in supporting the growth of our regional airport.
Dick's impact extends far beyond elected office. He has been a champion for tourism, an advocate for the Griffin-Spalding Chamber and local businesses, a volunteer at the History of Griffin Museum, and someone who quietly gives back through countless acts of service. His passion for Griffin-Spalding is evident in everything he does.
