🍿 THE $5 CINEMARK POPCORN BUCKET IS BACK! 😂

Last year we brought our 5-gallon bucket to Cinemark for National Popcorn Days and apparently a LOT of you enjoyed watching them fill it. That reel ended up getting more than 153,000 views! 🤯

So obviously… we had to do it again. 😂

There is one change this year. The bucket liners are now on the customer side of the counter, so you put the liner into your own container before they fill it. Honestly, that makes perfect sense. It keeps the line moving faster when everyone shows up carrying buckets. 😂

Five gallons of popcorn. One ridiculous bucket. And absolutely no regrets.

There are still two types of people:

✅ The pros who know about the promotion and show up prepared with their buckets.

😳 Everyone else wondering why people are walking into a movie theater carrying 5-gallon buckets.

HIDDEN WALMART SHOPPING HACK I HAD NO IDEA EXISTED 🤯

My wife saw this on a reel and told me about it, so of course I had to try it.

We were at Walmart looking for a few things, including some glass cleaner that I use for detailing.

Most people probably know you can search for a product in the Walmart app and it’ll tell you which aisle it’s on.

But here’s the part I DIDN’T know…

Tap the item and the store map will show you approximately where it is on that aisle.

And then comes the BRILLIANT part.

Tap the “Flash price tag” button.

Wait a couple seconds…

THE ACTUAL PRICE TAG ON THE SHELF STARTS FLASHING. 🤯🤣

That tiny LED has apparently been staring at me this whole time, and I had absolutely no idea what it was for.

No walking back and forth looking at 50 nearly identical products. The shelf basically says, “HEY! IT’S RIGHT HERE!”

F’ing brilliant.

Seriously… how long has this existed, and how many of you already knew about it?!

Not all cloudy headlights are caused by oxidation.

A few weeks ago, I noticed the headlights on Trevor’s 2015 GMC Sierra Duramax work truck needed some attention.

The interesting part was that these headlights didn’t have the heavy oxidation I normally see. Years of work driving had left the lenses covered in tiny rock chips and pitting. It was enough to cloud the lenses, scatter the light, and reduce nighttime visibility. This type of damage is much harder to correct than simple surface oxidation.

Headlight deterioration happens so gradually that you may not realize how bad they’ve become until someone points it out, or you experience the difference at night after they’re restored.

Every headlight is different. Some need years of oxidation removed. Others, like these, require correcting years of road wear and pitting before polishing and protecting them.

Another referral, just a few houses down! 😄

Last week I restored a client’s headlights, and a couple of her friends who live nearby saw me working on the car. They saw the results, talked with their friend, and today I was back in the same neighborhood restoring theirs.

And this one was pretty cool… a 2005 Mazda6 wagon. Yes, a wagon! You don’t see many of these anymore.

They’ve owned the car for years, it’s served them extremely well, and they have no plans to get rid of it. Overall it’s in fantastic condition for a 20+ year old car.

The headlights were another story.

More than two decades of oxidation had left the lenses cloudy and dull, making an otherwise great-looking car look much older. More importantly, all that cloudiness was getting in the way of the light they need for nighttime driving.

After a full restoration… WOW.

Crystal clear again, the details inside those beautiful headlights are visible, and the whole front of the car looks years newer.

Sometimes the best car is the one you already own. Take care of it, and keep it going. 👍

Another happy client and another set of headlights brought back to life.

These original Mazda 3 headlights had years of oxidation that had turned them cloudy and dramatically reduced visibility at night. After a full restoration, the lenses are clear again and the projector headlights can finally do their job.

One thing I tell every client is this:

There are a lot of ways to “make headlights look better.” There are far fewer ways to restore them properly.

A professional restoration isn’t just about making them shiny for a few weeks. It’s about removing the failed oxidation, correcting the damage that’s possible to correct, and protecting the lenses so they stay clear.

As with anything, you get what you pay for.

“I literally have NO visibility with these headlights.”

That’s what Linda wrote when she contacted me through my website.

She went on to say they had become “a severe safety issue” because the plastic had degraded so much over the years.

Her 2015 Honda CR-V had over a decade of oxidation and cloudiness covering both lenses. Thankfully, all of the major damage was on the outside. There was still some crazing, internal scratches, and a few areas of permanent wear that couldn’t be corrected, but removing the heavy oxidation made an incredible difference.

The result is a huge improvement in nighttime visibility and headlights that once again look close to new.

If your headlights have become cloudy, yellow, or hazy, don’t assume they need to be replaced. Many can be professionally restored for a fraction of the cost of new assemblies.

Some jobs mean a little more.

This morning I restored the headlights on Dustin’s 2010 Subaru STI.

Like many people, he had already tried a restoration kit without much success. When we scheduled the appointment, I didn’t realize where he worked.

He drives an ambulance for American Medical Response, serving Clackamas County.

When I arrived, he was already out on a call, so I got started. A little later, several of his coworkers came outside for a meeting. I walked over, introduced myself, and simply thanked them.

AMR has been there for both my mom and my wife during medical emergencies over the years. It was an opportunity to tell them how much I appreciate what they do for our community.

Of course we had to grab a group selfie before everyone headed back to work. 😄

The headlights came out great, and because Dustin is a first responder, he received my 50% first responder and veteran discount.

There are headlight jobs…

…and then there are jobs like this.

The ones where I get to help the people who spend their days helping everyone else.

As a parent, you just want your kids to be safe.

This client watched the headlights on her 2011 Kia Sorento slowly become cloudier over the last few years.

She first talked with the dealership and quickly discovered how expensive replacement headlights could be.
