Cultural artifacts

Cultural religious faith is not faith, but a religious tradition being transposed as faith. This means we are transferring some cultural tradition as real faith. Paul writes that some have a form of religion, but are strangers to power of real beliefs. Their conduct reveals their lack of true faith. Paul is describing people in the “last days” who keep the outward appearance of religion or piety—church attendance, religious language, rituals, moral talk—while rejecting or never experiencing the actual transforming power of genuine faith. They have the form but are strangers to the inner reality and power that true godliness brings through the Holy Spirit. When this occurs, people become disillusioned by church as attacks come and there seem to be no answers. People then question is God real. Why. why, why. This is why the seeker friendly model of church that has failed, it provides no true foundation to grow, it was only an experience without fruit. This why we have gone through the deconstructing of faith along with untrue beliefs by many church leaders, musicians and religious influencers. Their faith appears to never been real but only a cultural religious experience of faith. Having cultural points of remembrance of things are fine, but only to remind you of what you need to be, not to live in that cultural moment. But live in the faith that is true and genuine, a faith that is grounded in Christ and His word. In these last days many will have appropriate a cultural religious faith that is completely void of substance in life. The letters to the churches in Revelation, reveal many forms of religion along with many places of compromise that kept people in a dark death spiral. We need to be able to discern form from power. Form from faith. Form from love and fruitfulness. Cultural religion will not confront injustices, will not contend for the faith and will not contend for righteousness in government. But will simply yield to the push of darkness and even join in the process of darkness as an act of being a church.

“For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭

The impossibilities that had the possibilities already built in.

All of the impossibilities we seem to face, have zero chance of being able to overcome on our own, that is why they seem impossible. But what we call impossible, God has already designed and built in the answer of possibility. It is the possible answer that we are seeking in the most impossible circumstances. I don’t know about you, but anytime you seek to push through in your destiny you will hit the Goliath’s and Red Seas of impossibilities. The giants we face seem too big to conquer and the seas that we need to cross seem to be rolling with colossal waves. Have you faced a giant or has God asked you to climb a mountain to make an offering? He will if you walk in your destiny. Your destiny will be filled with challenges that there seem to big to answer, but in that impossible challenge, God already has the answer you need. The answer will shock and surprise you, because deep inside you, God has trained you for this moment with a skill to overcome.
IMPOSSIBLE: means: not to have strength, power, or ability, to be weak.
So to be POSSIBLE: means to have the strength, power or ability.
I have been there, faced a wall or a giant, but the options of retreat were not a thought. So I had to trust God to let me see how to rise up in that moment with the possibility of an answer.
God had honed the skill David would need to face Goliath. So when the time came, the skill, the confidence David needed was already built into him. David carried the possibility into the impossible circumstances of facing Goliath. What were the odds that from 10 yards, 20 yards, 40 yards or further that David would be able to release a stone from his sling and strike the small opening in the helmet of Goliath, with such force the stone dropped Goliath dead. David was trained by God in the wilderness, shepherding sheep. He killed the lion and the bear and kept this flock safe. So when it was time to face the 10 foot Goliath with a stone, he did not flinch, but his training took over, and in that moment he became the king.
Maybe you never realized all the training God has put you through. To you it seemed to be hard place after hard place, but when the true impossibility came, within you a skill will rise with the answer of possibility to take down the giant. This is your moment of breakthrough to a higher place.
When Moses faced the Red Sea, as he looked before him, it had him blocked and the Egyptian army was fast approaching. Moses also had been a shepherd and as he held his staff in his hand, God said stop whining and lift up your staff. Now what was the possibility of just raising a stick over the sea would make it split? Absolutely none. But God has honed a skill in Moses in the wilderness and before pharaoh, remember in Egypt Moses used his staff to eat all the staffs of the Egyptians, and along with commanding all the other plagues, so Moses was trained. When it came time to cross over the sea, Moses did not waver but obeyed God and lifted his staff and sea split. and The answer of possibility had been built into him, it was his obedience to do the foolish thing without wavering. What is your impossibility that you are facing? Is is a 10 foot giant, a sea or a mountain blocking your way. Jesus said if we will do the possible thing of trusting, praying, believing and speaking to the mountain it will move. Maybe the wilderness you have been in, has prepared you for the breakthrough moment of impossibilities becoming the possibilities and crossing over, taking down the giants or watching a mountain move. Remember Jesus said nothing is impossible with God. Don’t miss your moment.

For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:37‬ ‭

Contempt for the things of God.

Contempt is the act of despising : the state of mind of one who despises or has DISDAIN. lack of respect or reverence for something. willful disobedience or open disrespect.
When the wicked comes into the depth of evil, he becomes a contemptuous despiser of all that is pure and good, and with inner baseness comes outer shame and reproach.” Pro 18:3‬. The movement of having contempt for the things of God is so painfully obvious. The ideology of the progressive thoughts, the views of gender confusion, school’s encouraging gender change, same s*x marriage, people deconstructing their faith and all the compromising of denominations to be accepted in this culture, massive political fraud and all the socialist poison that has been unleashed within our nation.
The contempt for the church is at a point that we as the body of Christ must engage more than we have ever engaged before. Remember what proverbs says: when the wicked comes into the “DEPTHS OF EVIL”, he will despise, have disdain for and disrespect for all things of God. We are certainly seeing new depths being explored by wicked leaders and influencers, openly encouraging the rebelling against God.
Jesus said the gates of hell (or the authorities of the wickedness) will not prevail against the Ekklesia. If we are not walking within the Ekklesia in our destiny within the system we are called, then we will not be able to stand against the tireless attacks of darkness. We have too many folks wanting to be in full time ministry but some have mistaken the call instead of a pulpit, it may actually be in the market place or a school or even politics remember and do not forget that God may be placing you in a system for influence of righteousness not to abandon and go into another system.
To be able to stand as the Ekklesia we have to stop having contempt for the things of God. We have to stop despising the word, stop despising the will and works of God. Stop having contempt for the correction of God and stop having contempt for where God places you. Stop having contempt or despising people who are living their destiny. Stop having contempt for people are saying the truth because you don’t like it. Stop attacking the Ekklesia and despising the call of God, because you don’t understand it. We cannot walk in power and wisdom until we fully accept and receive the fullness of God and work the land He gave us. It matters little what people think about you, what does God think about you, is the question. What fruit are you bearing and what ground are you taking and what war are you conducting against the darkness. Stop having contempt for those who are and find your place and occupy with a passion of a roaring lion, a raging bear and the strength of a charging bull.

When the wicked comes into the depth of evil he becomes a CONTEMPTUOUS DESPISER of all that is pure and good and with inner baseness comes outer shame and reproach.” Pr 18:3‬ ‭

City in which we dwell.

Jeremiah 29:7. Says “And seek (inquire for, require, and request) the peace and welfare of the city to which I have caused you to be carried away captive; and pray to the Lord for it, for in the welfare of [the city in which you live] you will have welfare.” Jeremiah was making the admonition to Israel that the city they had been carried into they should do this. Pray for the city. This connects with the famous verse in Jeremiah 29:11 that says I know the plans I have for you, plans to build you up and give you an expected outcome. So if Israel would be fruitful in the land, that God sent and instructed them to pray for that city, then God would hear and answer with the perfect plan. V6 says plant fields and vineyards, raise herds and bring in families. We are to be established as a community of faith and families. We are to work this land, pray for this land and follow God. 1 Tim 2 says pray for the leaders and all people in places of high authority and responsibility, that we may lead a peaceful and blessed life. And that all men would be saved, such praying is good in the sight of God. All these verses are connected to our forefathers and us. We need to take an interest in our communities and not just live there. We are to be involved where we must. We are to pray and build. We are to fiercely defend our community from the wolves, who would pillage our community and destroy the foundations of right and just ways. This takes a change of mindsets, from the thoughts there is no hope for change into a mindset to listen to what God is speaking. Solomon writes in Ecclesiastes 10 “Through indolence the rafters [of state affairs] decay and the roof sinks in, and through idleness of the hands the house leaks. [Instead of repairing the breaches, the officials] make a feast for laughter, serve wine to cheer life, and [depend on tax] money to answer for all of it.” This verse explains how officials use tax money for all the wrong reasons and expect the tax money to keep covering their indolences as the state of affairs decay and rot. This is the very reason we pray and engage to hold officials accountable, so the city will have blessings. Be an active member of the community. Be one who prays. Be one that speaks. Be one that will leave this city better than we found it. Pray. Believe. Have faith. Don’t sit.

“FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.”

Remember who we are and our history.

Israel is still a people because they have never forgotten who they are. They know their history, they know the God of Abraham. People lose their culture and heritage when they forget who they are, when they forget their history and forget the God of heaven.
When you build an organization, a church, a city or any group that’s based on a philosophy of people that goes against everything the Bible teaches, those will be the people that dictate the future of those organizations. For The church to prosper it must adhere to the word of God, if a Company is to prosper is leaders must be moral men of INTEGRITY with the fear God, and are honest above all things. For any organization or government to prosper. It must be one of integrity with moral values based on Godliness. We are exactly my the same, in order for us to be all God has designed us to be, our life must be based on the values the scriptures reveals to us. We need to walk in the new creation realities of Christ and stay steadfast in the faith. Over the last couple of decades men and women have stopped going to church, or believing in God. Nearly a third of females under 30 identify as lgbtq. Social media has taken the place of influence of our children. Christians are not as bold in faith as previous generations and it shows in our culture. We have forgotten who we are and how God formed us as a nation. We have forgotten our history and allowed ungodly ideologies or the spirit of this age to control our culture. If we fail to grasp this moment of time as a crucible moment, we may go beyond the hope of returning to our true foundation. Our faith is more than a tee shirt, slogans or seeker friendly organizations. The seeker friendly philosophy brought the world into the church and they never changed, but they changed the churches. Look at how many churches and denominations have left the truth for that which is false. We have a culture that is crying out for truth, so we need to remind them of our heritage as believers, we remind them of our history, we need to remind them of who we are. We have a mission to do this. Truth always wins over lies. Jesus says I wish you to be hot or cold, not lukewarm. Because you are Lukewarm I will spit you out.

“I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!”

Courage.

Courage: is the mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, difficulty, pain, or uncertainty. Courage is being able to face the obstacles and keep moving. Courage is the ability to continue when the challenges seem overwhelming and hopeless.
Courage is not the absence of fear, it is the judgement that something else is more important than the fear. Courage is the strength that has found a purpose so deep and powerful that is has become more real than fear, more powerful than the circumstances and stronger than any barrier that must be overcome. In our walk we will face many things that could cause us to fear or as the disciples did to cry out in fear. It was their lack of courage that allowed fear instead of courage to rule the moment. God and Moses both spoke to Joshua 5 times to be courageous and bold. They commanded him 5 times, why 5 times. The battles, wars and dealing with all these people would take boldness and courage to fight and conquer all the land he had been commanded to take and lead these people into the promise land. Joshua had faith, but it was the courage he needed. Joshua believed, he had watched Moses for years seek God, pray and worship and show courage. Now for Joshua to move forward he had to have faith, but also courage to actually trust God in this journey. We are no different, God has commanded and engineered us for a journey, just as surely as God did Moses and Joshua. We build our faith, we prepare ourselves daily, but it takes courage to actually live by faith, walk by faith and speak faith. It takes courage the mental and moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, difficulty, pain, or uncertainty. Courage is trust when we cannot see anyway. Courage is the willingness to withstand the pressure, the danger and uncertainty with a faith that is unshakable. Many times we had faith but lacked the courage to actually believe and push through the difficulties. It is our courage that is driven by something we find more powerful and important than the fear. As God and Moses instructed Joshua, we take this same admonition and we will be bold and courageous and we will not fear. But trust, for He is always with us!

Joshua 1:6–9 (the Lord speaking directly to Joshua after Moses’ death):“Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.
Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you…
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Wishful thinking

Wishful thinking is not faith, it is just wishful thinking. It has zero faith, no real hope, but it is like living in an imaginary world where reality becomes warped and distorted and it manipulates you into living this fantasy. Some people step into this alternative world, substituting wishful thinking for faith and an imaginary life for what the reality you are in. I would venture to say most of us at times have had a wishful thought, but we never allowed it to become the substitute for our faith or hope. Wishful thinking is not hope, it is empty of any power except deception. Wishful thinking is not imaginations, but just emptiness. Righteous imaginations are what forms our visions and plans. Righteous imaginations are the powerful process of taking an event and seeing the will and plan of God completed, then we take that and form our thoughts and plans accordingly and begin to speak this. Wishful thinking has none of those elements. This imaginary world of wishful thinking instead of faith is the process that will destroy your dreams and destiny, it keeps you stuck in a mindset of pretend, confused, unstable and is a dead end. We are called to live by faith, speak by faith, think faith and mediate in the word of God to build faith. We are to pull down vain thoughts and wicked imaginations including wishful thinking and then we are to bring every thought into the Obedience of Christ, which is the Word of God made flesh. We are to be stable, secure and determined to follow truth and not some distorted wishful thinking push. Proverbs says there 2 ways before us and one leads to death and the other leads to life. The one that leads to death is filled with no faith, wishful thinking, wicked thoughts and empty imaginations and a blurred vision of truth. When we apply discipline in our thoughts and words, truth will be clearly seen, the path we need to walk is enlighten and a new true hope and faith emerges that is real. So resign from wishful thinking and engage in true mindsets, true imaginations and speak forceful right words.

“The mind of the wise instructs his mouth, and adds learning and persuasiveness to his lips. There is a way that seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭23‬, ‭25‬ ‭

Using the right tools in the right application.

Isaiah makes a number of statements that have applications for us. In Isaiah 28, Isaiah asks the following questions: Does a farmer plows the ground for sowing, and keeps plowing and harrowing the ground once it is smooth. There comes a time when the plowing is completed and it is time to sow.
Isaiah lists: wheat, dill, spelt, fennel, Cu**in and barely. Then says does not the farmer plant each in rows or scatters or plants at the border. This says that each of these grains are planted as they must be to grow and trains each according to its needs. Each of these grains has a special need to be grown, trained and processed. For dill is not threshed with a sharp threshing instrument, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cu**in; but dill is beaten off with a staff, and cu**in with a rod [by hand]. Each has an individual need to be planted, cultivated and processed.
God gives us gifts and skills to use. But each has a function, a place to be used, and used in the way it is was engineered. He places us in the right place with the right skills to be fruitful. Just like the farmer knows the season to plant a crop, what crops to plant where and how each crop needs to be planted, cultivated and harvested and then processed. We likewise must know what skills we have been given and how we must be trained to use each skill or gift according to it’s function.
Exodus 31:3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and ability, in understanding and intelligence, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, To devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, And in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship.” They were to build the tabernacle and they were equipped to do so with excellence. In 1 Cor 12: God has given us spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit, each of these has a purpose, place and a design to make us fruitful to build His kingdom. Just as God gives us natural Skills and giftings, He has also filled us with spiritual gifts to equip us both in the natural and and the spiritual to build His kingdom and flourish in life.
‭ Without taking the time to pray, be mentored and be filled with the Holy Spirit we would be like Amos writes: trying to plow the ocean with oxen or trying to race horses on rocks. Just as the farmer knows when to plant what grain and how to cultivate and harvest, we have also be fully equipped to build, devise skillful works in life and in the kingdom. Today let us develop a Godly imagination, a righteous passion and know what pursuits to follow with courage and boldness. Let us work with excellence just as God has placed deep in us. Know your destiny and live it.

Do horses run upon rocks? Do men plow the ocean with oxen? But you have turned justice into gall and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood–”‭‭Amos‬ ‭6:12‬
Does he who plows for sowing plow continually? Does he continue to plow and harrow the ground after it is smooth?
When he has leveled its surface, does he not cast abroad [the seed of] dill or fennel and scatter cu**in [a seasoning], and put the wheat in rows, and barley in its intended place, and spelt [an inferior kind of wheat] as the border? [And he trains each of them correctly] for his God instructs him correctly and teaches him.
For dill is not threshed with a sharp threshing instrument, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cu**in; but dill is beaten off with a staff, and cu**in with a rod by hand.
Does one crush bread grain? No, he does not thresh it continuously. But when he has driven his cartwheel and his horses over it, he scatters it [tossing it up to the wind] without having crushed it.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭28:24-28‬ ‭
