A fully wetted skid pad for the Oregon Region SCCA school in Portland last year. They are up this Sunday with 46 students!
Greetings Heroes!
BOO! It's Halloween! My daughter's High Holy Holiday. She's been dressing in black and orange, skulls, ghosts bats etc.... for a month. Skeletons on the porch, weird lights.... Well it helps that she teaches 1st Graders but she's always loved this 'holiday'. This event always is bittersweet for me. It usually means all the schools that are going to be for this year are on the schedule. It would be difficult, (BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE!) to still pull a school off this year. So it looks like we will best last year with 3 more schools, so a total of 76. Not bad! More schools are always better but still short of our goal. There are reasons of course, #1 is the economy is high on everybody's mind. Gas and diesel prices are making it hard on everyone. Let's stay positive and be glad we still have sponsors that are willing to help keep this program going and we are still saving lives. But more than the sponsors, I am so grateful that we have people willing to give up the day and share what they know to people they probably won't ever see again. And, that we have people willing to spend 60+ hours of their time to plan and facilitate this program. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you.

10/24 - Suncoast Region PCA #1 - Sebring, FL - David Herdon had a Sebring team ready to go! Thanks to the awesome volunteers, 13 new drivers got the skills they need! Thanks to all involved.
10/24 - Smoky Mtn. Chapter BMW CCA #1 - Knoxville, TN - Michael Washington, Cy Smith and team pulled off their annual school, the 24th in their history. 13 new drivers got the training! Thanks for doing what you all do!
10/25 - Potomac Region PCA #2 Summit Point, WV - Doug Hough reported that they had "a relatively small -- but very enthusiastic -- group of students" he, Wendy Chetney and their team had the wheels rolling and everybody was ready. Thanks all!
This Weekend’s Action - 3 school!
10/31 - NEOhio Region SCCA #2- Peninsula, OH - Bryan Hall has a lock on the perseverance award this year. His 1st school back in July had only 3 students and had to be canceled. 2 of those students wanted to attend, so they transferred to this 2nd attempt. A change of venue and he'll be ready to go with his team! He's still in single digits for students but we won't be denied. Thanks to your determination and dedication to the cause!
11/1 - Oregon Region SCCA #2 - Portland OR - Mick Posner, Street Survival Hero of the Year for 2025 will host their 2nd school of the year. His 1st, in March, was just short of a sell out with 37 out of 40 students This one is sold out with 46 students and 6 on a waitlist! Thanks to Mick and the crew!!
11/1 - Ottawa Chapter BMW CC #1 - the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa will host the Ottawa Chapter of the BMW Clubs Canada's annual school. Francis Marquis is leading the charge again. It'll be starting out a little chilly in te upper 40's and finish at 60. Strong work all! Thanks for what you are doing.

NOTE: The additional schools must have a student enrollment of 15 students to qualify for the additional amount. If the 15 student limit is not reached, the standard amount will be provided.

Many have said that Street Survival is the most rewarding thing you can do in a car club. Everyone knows a teenager—a family member, neighbor, co-worker—who needs this program. You’ll be sharing the road with them. Let's make them safer to make you safer!
