Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to invest heavily in my professional development within the automotive industry, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize just how much I’ve been fortunate enough to learn!
I recently completed the NADA Sales Management Professional Series, including extensive education in dealership sales management and leadership. During my recent trip to Washington, D.C., I also had the opportunity to visit the National Automobile Dealers Association headquarters in Tysons, Virginia, firsthand which made completing this training even more meaningful.
Alongside my NADA education, I’ve continued expanding my knowledge of dealership operations through vAuto Academy, earning certifications in Variable Management and ProfitTime GPS and continuing to develop my understanding of the systems, processes, and strategies behind a successful dealership.
I’ve also invested extensively in learning the finance side of the business through the Automotive Dealership Institute, completing professional Finance & Insurance training covering deal structure, lender relations, compliance, product presentation, customer experience, and simulated F&I transactions. I also completed ADI’s Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) certification as part of that education. From sales and customer relationships to dealership operations, management, leadership, and F&I, my goal has been to understand this business at a much deeper level and become as well-rounded an automotive professional as I can be.
I especially want to thank our local Cannon Motors of Greenwood for investing in my development and giving me the opportunity to attend NADA management training. Having an organization willing to invest in continuing education and professional growth is something I genuinely appreciate!
I’m proud of the progress I’ve made, grateful for everyone who has helped teach and encourage me along the way, and excited to continue putting this education to work every day. There’s always more to learn in the car business, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most about it.
