Clean. Efficient. Upgraded.

Early DeLorean wiring harnesses drape over the top of the engine and stand out like a sore thumb. Later style harnesses lay where you can’t see it and use more efficient charging cables that daisy chain to the bulkhead.

After performing many harnesses conversions we are now offering our services to DeLorean owners who want
to send us their engine wiring harness to receive:

1. A rewrapped wiring harnesses meant to follow late made DeLorean routing.
2. A set of modern rubber-lined clamps to ensure the harness is exactly where you want it while providing an appropriate look.
3. A set of 4AWG charging cable to give you the more efficient charging system your DeLorean wants.

1993 Toyota HiAce
This HiAce van came into Nickles Customs with a blown cylinder head gasket. After disassembly we quickly found a badly cracked cylinder head beyond reasonable repair. A new upgraded cylinder head was sourced and after proper repairs and service this van can be found all around the upstate.

DeLorean automatic transaxle glow-up

This automatic DeLorean transaxle looks better than ever before after a full service. 40 years of leaking fluids really made this unit a mess so after replacing seals and cooler hoses this transaxle will be tight and shifting right.

DeLorean Steering Rack Rebuild

In a time when most automotive shops choose to replace parts rather than rebuild them, we have found that technicians become less skilled because they do not understand what they are working with.

The art of restoring and rebuilding different components on a car has become a lost skill today. Now that many replacement parts are produced using cost-saving measures, we find a disappointing lack of quality that harms the automotive industry.

At Nickles Customs we restore. The goal is not to just make a car "good enough" but to make it the way it's supposed to be, with a quality that won't have you guessing if something is going to fail. We will continue to revive and restore automobile after automobile and maintain the proper standard of the automotive industry.

This steering rack was equipped on a DeLorean with many failed suspension and steering components, after installing a performance suspension and rebuilding this steering rack with meticulous care, that DeLorean performs better than it ever has before.
