Do you own a BMW or MINI with performance issues? Is it producing smoke and a whistling noise? Our diagnosis revealed that the CCV system built into the valve cover of this B58 engine failed, causing a check engine light, smoke, and a loud whistling sound.

Happy 4th! It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to post anything. Mini in with a hesitation at high rpm found spark plugs and coils to be original and breather built into the valve cover to be questionable. Also so preventative maintenance and service!

E36 in for some engine mounts! With the mounts installed they covered the large cracks in the subframe. A strong subframe and subframe brace have been installed as well as a new oil pan gasket with an oil pump gear nut with safety wire to prevent the nut fracturing m coming loose.

N20 timing chains! If you have a n20 with over 120k it’s a good idea to have them checked before it’s too late.

BMW M57 in for no start was at another shop and was told it likely needed an engine. Found fuel level senders in fuel tank stuck showing 1/3 of a tank of fuel. Replaced sending units, put some fuel in, and it magically started! The customer was advised that it would be a good idea to change out the original fuel filter and replace the glow plugs. As you can see in the picture, one of them broke off in the cylinder head. Luckily, the piece in the head came out without too much trouble.

BMW e70 in for oil pan gasket, valve cover replacement, and water partitions. The water partitions have failed, allowing water to enter the engine bay. Luckily, this was caught before any major damage to electrical components!
