John Keppy Kephart’s Betty received some special attention this past weekend with a boost to the charging system and some fun new exterior visuals!
As we approach the two-year mark since the original install, Mike at Singer Alternators came through with an alternator refresh netting an additional ~ 20 amps of idle output. Internally regulated at 14.8V with the addition of a CB Supply Co voltage control k**b connected to the alternator’s sense wire allowing us to step charging up to ~ 16 volts! (We’re going to be gradually stepping up voltage over time to see how the Kia’s stock electronics respond 🙂)
And to add that extra bit of “street appeal” we outfitted Betty with an Underglow kit from OPT7!
