Fitzgerald Motorsports is delighted to unveil its latest bespoke VRod creation, designated as the DB 750S. This 2016 DX model, boasting a remarkably low mileage of 1563 miles, has undergone an exhaustive transformation incorporating the finest industry components. The motorcycle is powered by a potent 1487cc engine meticulously crafted in-house, paired with a custom-designed body kit conceived by Yuri. Notably, it features Brock’s Performance BST 21-inch front and 18-inch x 9-inch rear wheels, a configuration that has only been featured on one other VRod globally to date. Complementing these wheels are mono block Brembo high-performance calipers and Lyndalls black series rotors. The motorcycle’s stance is further accentuated by Arnott rear air ride and AirFX front suspension, yielding a dramatic slammed aesthetic. Developed in collaboration with Horsepower Inc., the exhaust system boasts a 2-1 setup producing a remarkable sound. Skillfully crafted by Chad at Twisted Metal, the motorcycle’s paintwork showcases a stunning McLaren Papaya Spark finish. This VRod will make its debut at the 21st annual Midwest Thunder MWT VRod Rally, taking place this weekend in Grand Rapids, MI.

This 2016 VRSCDX with less than 1,300 miles is finally getting some much-needed CNC machine time. We’re precision machining the V-Rod upper crankcase half to accept a 4.25” ductile iron cylinder sleeve, a critical step in converting this engine to a 1487cc big-bore combination.

Properly machining the case for the larger sleeve is one of the most critical operations in the entire build, as it ensures correct sleeve support, deck integrity, and long-term cylinder stability under extreme cylinder pressures.

This engine build is truly no-holds-barred. Every component has been carefully selected with strength, precision, and performance in mind. What started as a bone-stock, ultra-low-mile bike is now being transformed into a serious high-performance VRSC powerplant.

This project has been in the works for quite some time, and we’re now in the final stages of bringing this 1487cc monster to life.

Time to let the cat out of the bag. After a lot of deliberation, we decided to partner with Raw Performance in Australia and run their Turbo Cycle VRod kit. From there, we added our own touches with the VRFID ECM, injectors, 5-bar MAP sensor, and our in-house plumbing and hardware kit to create a VERY formidable package.

We bought this bone-stock 2009 V-Rod Muscle only 8 weeks ago and it had 29,000 hard miles on it, making it the perfect real-world donor bike. The results speak for themselves:
180 RWHP and 130 ft-lbs of torque.

No smoke and mirrors—other than stepping to a colder spark plug, the engine is 100% stock. We did manage to kill the clutch (no surprise there), so it’s getting rebuilt with a variable pressure plate setup to ensure years of reliable abuse.
