Catalytic converter thefts are on the rise in Reidsville, costing car owners thousands of dollars in repairs.

What you should know:
Catalytic converters are attached to your exhaust pipe which controls emissions and the noise of your car. They can be easily cut away from underneath your car in a matter of moments. Look out for suspicious activity under cars or a loud buzzing noise (like a saw on metal). It is important for citizens to report any catalytic converter thefts (or attempts where damage was done) to their local law enforcement agency as this allows detectives to connect the dots of any other similar thefts.
