Well COVID-19 has claimed yet another victim. As of now Thomas Performance will close its commercial location permanently.
We opened back in 2011 to fulfill the need for a Ducati service shop in Greensboro when the original Dealership stopped carrying Ducati.
We rose to be one of the best service shops around as we did not work for huge profits but for providing great reliable service that you could trust.
Last year was a rough year for all
Motorcycle shops in general. We did not have the usual business to keep us going through the winter and then as some of you know I had another heart surgery and then broke my wrist right towards the end of the year. It was the worst thing to happen at that point.
I have always operated the shop under faith and have had to actually carry a full time job to make ends meet at home and at the shop.
The complete stop in business the past few months due to COVID-19 has been the nail in the coffin. To top it off the building we are located in has went under new ownership and The new owners have told us that they want to combine our space with the one behind us and basically told us to move out so they can move forward with their plans.
It’s truly a sad day to have to write this letter.
We have loved all of our customers and have enjoyed servicing your bikes and cars for many years. We consider each one of you as family and hope you enjoy many more years with your bikes and cars.
I will still be building some race bikes at my house for some people and doing services on 1299 Panigales and older. I will also do accessory installs. We will not be doing tires as we don’t have the room for a tire machine. I will only be able to work on 2 bikes at a time due to space restrictions until I sell off my personal bikes to make space and pay off debt from medical and the business closure.
If you need any immediate service needs in the immediate area seek out Jim at Max Speed Cycles in Kernersville. For Ducati parts and service there is now a dealer back in Greensboro owned by Motorcycles of Charlotte.
We would like to thank Donnie at Ducati Wi******er for always getting us the parts we need and being an all around great guy to deal with and share knowledge with.
