Way behind on posting racing results. We’ve worked on the car a lot and made some good progress just not always the results to show for it.

May 3rd, we went to Clayhill and started 2nd in our heat race. Took the lead on the first lap and lead them all for our first Heat win. That put us starting 3rd in the feature. That race turned into a wreck fest and we were happy to be able to finish without any damage with a 6th place finish.

May 10th, went to Camden and unloaded with a good car. Started 4th in our heat and finished 3rd. Made a couple of adjustments and started the feature in 6th. Made it to 3rd on the 3rd lap when under caution, a car passed us hit the wall and turned right down on us. Still have no idea who or why this person was in the car. They had not qualified or raced that car all night. But, they tore up our nose and right side. Limped to a 7th place and loaded up a tore up car.

May 17th, after a week of work we go back to Clayhill. We started 1st and finished 2nd in our heat. That had is starting 4th in the feature. Car was good in the feature getting up to 3rd and catching second in the last couple of laps. Crossed the line 3rd right on the outside of second. Think if we could have found the upper line earlier, we had a winning car. Just have to make those moves sooner. The more seat time, the faster we get.

MPR will head to PineRidge Speedway tonight for the final points race of the year. We are currently the points leader in the Crate Racin' USA Weekly Late Models class. If all things go as planned we should be crowned 2024 Track Champion!
