Just a little Truck Daddy service reminder 💚

There is a reason we collect payment at the end of each day of service and do not allow customers to continuously rack up an open invoice.

As a mobile mechanic, your vehicle stays in your possession. We don’t have the ability to hold it at a shop until the balance is paid. That means when someone decides not to pay, we have already provided the labor, spent the time, traveled to you, and completed the work — while we are left without the money we earned.

When you run off on a bill from a small business, you aren’t taking from some giant corporation. You are taking directly from a family that depends on that income.

Unfortunately, when we give someone the benefit of the doubt — especially another business owner — and are then left unpaid and completely ignored, it reminds us exactly why these policies have to exist.

And unfortunately, this is how one person ruins it for everyone… again. Every time someone takes advantage of flexibility or trust, it forces us to tighten policies for every customer who comes after them.

So yes, invoices are due when stated. Yes, we collect daily on multi-day jobs. And yes, we will continue protecting our business and our family.

Please do better. Respect small businesses, their time, and the work they provide. 💚
