Ford just gave us a first look at what could be a very interesting new option for truck buyers.

Meet the Ford Fathom, a midsize electric pickup expected to arrive in 2027. Ford has confirmed a starting MSRP of $28,350 before destination, along with a five-passenger interior, frunk, bidirectional power capability and BlueCruise-capable hardware.

There are still some important details to come, including EPA-estimated range, towing and payload ratings, and the production exterior design.
