Let’s have a conversation about quality, it’s worth the read. The world we live now, there are tons of cheap brands you can find on Amazon and other various sites. And everyone wants to compare the top brands to the cheap ones. Like, “well this amp says it’s 3000 watts and it’s only $150, why is your’s 10x that price?” First they are lying, it’s not 3000 watts, no where close, second the reason it’s so cheap, is the components in it are cheap and not designed to last. It’s like comparing a $1 steak that is grey and kinda funky to a $10 hand cut ribeye, you’re going to get what you pay for, and the cheap option will most likely make you sick at some point. We have had several customers who have bought the Amazon amp, and have it die…. multiple times, in a short period of time. And the answer is always the same, you could have bought the better product one and a half times over now, but hey at least Amazon has easy returns when you have the time to constantly wait for that. There is a reason we sell the products we do, at the price we do. They last, they perform, and as much as we love our customers, we don’t want to see them come back with problems.
Now to the quality aspect of this conversation, the $10 hand cut gorgeous ribeye. The pictures on this post are from an install last week. This is a KICKER CX3001 amplifier. The best part of this whole install, this customer originally bought this amplifier and the Kicker subwoofer it’s paired with from us in 2018. Over 8 years this purchase has been putting in work every single day. It is also the 4th vehicle it has been installed in, same amp, same sub, never been replaced. So the next time you’re looking online at a grey slimy steak, think about what you really want from your purchase long term, and what a quality professional install actually means to you.
