Lincoln, Illinois – Fourth-starting Paul Nienhiser took control of the lead on lap five following a caution for polesitter Logan Julien and went on to fend off defending series champion Will Armitage in the closing laps to score his 7th career Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. MOWA Sprint Car Series victory at the Lincoln Speedway.

Nienhiser’s victory on Friday night was his sixth A-Main win of the season, having won the opening event with MOWA at Jacksonville Speedway, as well as two events with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints and two weekly events at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park and Jacksonville Speedway.

Nienhiser inherited the lead in Friday’s 25-Lap A-Main after Logan Julien slowed in turn three with mechanical issues to his machine. Behind Nienhiser, action picked up throughout the field with Will Armitage , Joe B. Miller and Bryce Norris fighting for position. Nienhiser was able to use lapped cars to his advantage, navigating his way around the ΒΌ-mile oval at the Logan County Fairgrounds, by putting traffic between himself and other drivers.

Running the familiar high line around the Lincoln Speedway, Nienhiser had a comfortable lead as the laps continued to wind down, while second-running Will Armitage set his sights on the . A lead of nearly three-tenths of a second was almost erased with two laps remaining. Armitage gained traction exiting the fourth turn and pulled alongside Nienhiser at the flagstand. Seeing the to his inside, Nienhiser knew he had only one chance to capitalize and pull ahead.

Never contested as the field raced to the checkers, Paul Nienhiser crossed under the flag first, ahead of Will Armitage by half of a second. Joe B. Miller, Bryce Norris and Mario Clouser rounded out the top five.

By virtue of a second place finish, Will Armitage was the evening’s hard charger, having moved forward four positions. Adding another victory to his total, Paul Nienhiser has now earned 34 series victories with the Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series.

β€œMy guys gave me a great car tonight. We had great speed in our heat race moving forward from eighth, to finish second which helped us by making tonight’s redraw. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the help from my sponsors and crew, so thanks to them for that”, said Nienhiser in Victory Lane.
Reigning series champion Will Armitage was thankful to end his night on the podium after last-minute repairs to his machine took him down to the 8-minute pre-race horn. β€œMan, I didn’t think that we were going to get the repairs made, but big thanks to Brad, Hunter and the rest of the group who help out on the . We had to replace the rear end in the car after our heat race and it took us up until the last possible minute to do so. I almost wasn't in staging before our time with the pre-race horn expired”, said Armitage.

NIENHISER SWEEPS THE NIGHT AT JACKSONVILLE

(May 1, 2026) Paul Nienhiser proved again on Friday night that he continues to be a force to be reckoned with when the unloads at Jacksonville Speedway . Nienhiser started the night by setting the fastest lap in Hot Laps before going on to win his Heat Race and ending the night atop the wing in Victory Lane.

The four-time series champion started on the outside of the front row and never looked back.
Nienhiser jumped to the lead at the drop of the green flag and quickly set pace over the field and was into lapped traffic by the second circuit. A lap five yellow for Bryan Brewster erased Nienhiser’s lead and bunched the field back up. Returning to green flag action, Nienhiser stretched his lead back to nearly a full straightaway in just two laps while polesitter Kevin Newton fought off challenges from Joey Moughan and Korey Weyant as the laps began to wind down. Contact with the turn one wall for Cole Tinsley slowed the field again, which also saw third-running Korey Weyant retire early and head pitside.

Nienhiser pounced ahead on the ensuing restart to a two second lead by lap 16, to again see his lead erased as Joey Moughan spun on the exit of turn four from the second position. Zach Daum inherited the spot at the restart with Landon Crawley in third.

Taking the field back to green with 9 laps remaining, Nienhiser continued his dominance by surging ahead on the restart while action ensued behind him. Zach Daum comfortably held onto second while Landon Crawley fought back a challenge from Joe B. Miller. Crawley’s machine missed the entry in turn three, which allowed Miller to move by and then set his sights on Daum for the runner-up position. As the laps began to wind down, Nienhiser remained untouchable with a commanding lead over the field. 12th starting Jake Neuman and 15th starting Will Armitage had worked their way into the top 6 by lap 22. As Nienhiser was set to take the white flag, a caution for Shelby Bosie saw the field slow one final time with two laps remaining. Contact between Bosie and Joey Moughan sent Bosie’s around inside of turn one.

Back to green flag conditions for one final restart, Nienhauser powered ahead and never looked back as he crossed under the checkers for his 33rd-overall Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series victory ahead of Zach Daum and Joe B. Miller. 20th-starting Logan Julien was the night’s hard charger, advancing 12 spots to finish 8th.

The Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series is back in action on May 30, at LaSalle Speedway, in LaSalle, Illinois for a joint event with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints.

The finish: 1. 9X-Paul Nienhiser (2); 2. 92-Zach Daum (3); 3. 51B-Joe B. Miller (7); 4. 3N-Jake Neuman (12); 5. 12X-Landon Crawley (8); 6. 7A-Will Armitage (15); 7. 9-Tyler Duff (10); 8. 85J-Logan Julien (20); 9. 14-Zane DeVault (17); 10. 16TH-Kevin Newton(1); 11. 5H-Mario Clouser (11); 12. 44-Cory Bruns (5); 13. 31-Joey Moughan (4); 15. 37-Bryce Norris (13); 16. 01-Justin Standridge (18); 17. 3B-Shelby Bosie (22); 18. 99W-Jarrett Weyant (14); 19. 6-Corey Nelson (21); 20. 47-Korey Weyant {6); 21. 51-Cole Tinsley (19); 22. 58-Bryan Brewster {16).
