Flawless Finish: Detailing a Brand-New RAM 1500 Tungsten Edition

We recently had the privilege of working on a brand new 2025 RAM 1500 Tungsten Edition—a true luxury pickup with head-turning aesthetics straight from the factory. But even the most premium vehicles benefit from professional detailing, especially when the goal is to protect and enhance the finish for years to come.

Stage 1: Decontamination Wash
Even brand-new vehicles arrive with bonded contaminants from transport, storage, and the factory. We started with a thorough decontamination wash using an high alkaline soap, iron remover, water spot remover, and a clay bar treatment. This stripped the surface of rail dust, brake dust, and other embedded particles, prepping it for precision polishing.

Stage 2: Paint Polishing
Though the Tungsten’s finish was in excellent condition, we noticed slight micro-marring and hazing under inspection lights. Using a fine polish with a dual-action polisher, we refined the clear coat to a mirror finish—enhancing depth, clarity, and gloss while ensuring a swirl-free result. The metallic flake in this white paint popped beautifully under proper lighting.
