Just getting started on an extremely custom Scout II rock crawler build featuring fully in-house fabricated 9-inch axles. Up front is a Hy-9 with extended spline engagement, an ARB locker, and a nodular iron center section. The rear axle is a one-off full-floater with a nodular center section, ARB locker, and electronic calipers.
The rear axle is designed around the same wheel bearing hubs as the front. The rear uses double-splined axle shafts and drive slugs, allowing for maximum parts similarity across both ends of the vehicle for easier serviceability and trail support.
Power comes from a 6.2L LS3 backed by a 6L80E transmission and an Atlas transfer case. Stay tuned for updates on this one!

Back in for some improvements on the AC system (rear AC) and some service work, this beautiful Scout 800 was previously here for a complete restoration and custom build by us. The owner has driven it quite often, and has some modifications in mind that are needed to make it more comfortable on the hot summer days.

We fabricate all of our tubing work in-house, using 2” .120” wall DOM tubing to fabricate our show bars. Travis has been putting in the work getting them bent, welded, and back in stock, and they’re finally ready to ship. These bars are designed for the 1971–80 Scout II, but if there’s enough interest, we can also build them for the Terra and Traveler models with subsequent design changes.

We normally don’t post things like this, but every now and then it’s worth showing that just because something looks high-end and carries a premium price tag doesn’t mean it’s a quality product. You should always do your research and purchase from reputable sources.
A customer brought us this wiring harness from another company that seemed great on paper. Unfortunately, once we got into the installation, the problems became obvious. Several of the firewall connections were 3D-printed pieces that were already loose and breaking apart during install. The firewall connectors themselves were barely secured and close to falling off right out of the box.
On top of that, much of the harness relied on cheap crimp-style connectors that simply don’t belong in a properly built wiring system. We also found severely undersized wiring feeding into a low-quality blade fuse panel, a major concern for long-term reliability and safety. The customer paid over $2400 for this, paid us to try to install it, and remove it to just use what we've always done here with no issues.
At the end of the day, there were too many issues to justify using it, so the best option was to scrap it and start over with a properly built custom harness that will last.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer refused to take the product back, leaving the customer stuck paying twice just to get his Scout wired correctly and safely. Quality wiring isn’t just about appearance, it’s about knowing the issues that were within the OE harness and wiring up something better that will outlast the last harness. This one is not going to make the cut. -Zaed

Rick is getting the Tremec 4050 and Atlas 3.0:1 transfer case bolted up so we can install it behind this 327 small block Chevy. This is going in this Scout 800. We’re building a new Ford CPT 9” rear axle and rebuilding a Scout II Dana 44 front axle with a hydraulic under-dash clutch master cylinder. Also installed is our CPT power steering conversion box setup. We’re just going to be doing a complete drivetrain overhaul on this Scout to make it drive a lot better than stock!
