It's an honor to be inducted into the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing among the greatest in the sport. We will be celebrating in Florida in March!

John Force, Shelly Anderson Payne, Ron Attebury, Sonny Messner, Carol “Bunny” Burkett, Graeme Cowin, Vinny and Richard Napp, Bob Frey, and Linda Jones will be the newest inductees into the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing’s International Drag Racing Hall of Fame.

Yesterday we visited Ron’s sister and niece. Our niece brought us an old relict that was great to see again. Ron’s past brother-in-law and his neice’s dad, was the great Jack Costello, record holder and historic Bonneville car builder and racer, and the first one to take Ron to the drags when he was little. We can blame Jack for fueling the fire into young Ron.

The jacket showed is Ron’s fire suit, one he wore when he campaigned the Jungle Jim dragster. The reason Jack had it all these years is because he used it as a model for fitting drivers into his Bonneville cars back then. If you couldn’t fit in the jacket then you couldn’t drive his car. At least that’s how Jack told us the story many years ago.

Thank you to everyone who came by and got an autograph today at the California Hot Rod Reunion. Ron’s had a great weekend being back at the track as an Honoree. We have more pictures and videos to share once we get them all together.
