As our business continues to grow, we'd like to clarify a few of our shop policies.
McKenzie's Auto & Diesel Repair is a repair shop, not a customer service hotline. Effective immediately, we will no longer diagnose vehicle issues over the phone. While we're always happy to schedule an appointment, diagnosing a vehicle accurately requires time, experience, and often hands-on inspection.
We also ask that customers do not arrive without an appointment expecting Lucas to stop working on scheduled repairs to diagnose their vehicle. Doing so interrupts work for customers who have already scheduled their appointments and delays repairs that are already in progress.
Beginning immediately, all vehicle diagnostics will be subject to a diagnostic fee. Our knowledge, experience, and time are valuable, and diagnosing a problem is a professional service just like the repair itself.
As a small business, we have a shop mortgage, insurance, utilities, equipment, taxes, and many other operating expenses. We appreciate every customer who trusts us with their vehicle, but we must also respect the time that keeps our business running. Our priority will always be the customers who have scheduled appointments and entrusted us with their repairs.
