Some trucks just can’t be normal.

Apparently this particular Freightliner in the garage was built on a Tuesday in 2021 between 2:17 and 2:43 PM, because naturally it takes a part that only exists on certain trucks.

And of course that part is two days out.

But wait…there’s more.

The old pump brought its own glitter. ✨

Apparently the common theme this week is s**t another shop forgot to finish.

Do y’all start spinning the oil filter on, see a squirrel, and just run after it? 🐿️

Nobody’s perfect. We make mistakes too. But come on.

These trucks are people’s livelihoods. It doesn’t matter if it’s a company driver or an owner-operator — somebody is depending on that truck to make a living.

Finish the job. Double-check your work.

Do better.

We had a customer yesterday having some power issues, so we started with the obvious place—the batteries.

Found the main positive cable on the kill switch loose.

Then we found the really impressive part… the positive terminal on one of the batteries had been tightened down so hard it actually pulled the post up out of the battery. 😳

Batteries are pretty crucial to the whole truck running situation.

Tightening battery terminal nuts is not the time to practice your Hercules skills. 🤣

Tight enough is tight enough, folks.

The trucking world has a way of crossing people’s paths, even if only for a moment.

Tonight we learned that a fellow trucker we had crossed paths with has passed away — far too young and with so much life still ahead of him.

We didn’t know him well, but it still makes you stop.

Behind every truck, every Facebook name, and every brief encounter is a whole life and people who love them.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. 🖤

Tell your people you love them. Make the call. Send the message. Don’t assume there will always be tomorrow.

Apparently we forgot we had social media. 😂

Last night, between the storms and the usual chaos, we had a Volvo with an X15 come in leaking oil like a sieve.

The problem? A valve cover gasket damaged during a recent overhead at another shop somewhere in the U.S.

Diesel mechanics have a reputation for being dirty — fair. 😂 But when you’re inside an engine, clean, careful, and meticulous matters.

Thankfully, the oil was dripping onto the exhaust and got the driver’s attention before things got REALLY expensive.

A little gasket damage can cause a whole lot of mayhem.

Clean the surfaces. Seat the gasket. Double-check your work.

Your hand cleaner can handle the rest. 🔧😂
