Kelly's Automotive Service

Kelly's Automotive Service We Service Foreign and Domestic Vehicles for less than the dealer by 30-50% in most cases. Personal Creating a place that is safe for our clients.
(1)

Our goal is always to Service your vehicle but take care of you! That means creating a culture from within, from the clean up guy all the way up to the managers. As owners Dave Kelly and Lisa McClease-Kelly we put our name and beliefs into this business. Dave, an ASE certified Master Technician has the technical background needed to make sure the staff has the knowledge needed to do the job. Lisa,

who spent years advocating for victims of violent crime brings forth the softer, community minded part of the business. Yes, we have all the certifications ASE, AAA, NAPA and more, but what really counts is why we do what we do. Where people feel like they can ask questions and get honest answers. If there is ever a question about something that was recommended at Kelly's we will put the car up on the rack with the client there and show them what we are talking about. We hope you feel that when you come into either one of our shops. We hope that we can be here for more than just your automotive needs. We want to be your community resource.

🚗 What was your first car… and what’s your dream car? 🚗

Jared recently went around our Grants Pass shop asking the team two simple questions:

👉 What was your first car?
👉 What is your dream car?

The answers were all over the map! Some of us started out with vehicles that barely made it from point A to point B, while others had cars they wish they still owned today. And when it came to dream cars, there were everything from classic muscle cars to modern exotics.

It’s funny how much of our story is tied to the vehicles we’ve owned along the way.

So now we’re curious…

What was your first car, and what is your dream car?

Bonus points if your first car and dream car are the same vehicle. 😄

Drop your answers in the comments! 👇🚙🏎️🚚

Nelson successfully completed and fired up his first full engine installation.

What’s especially impressive is that he had torn the engine down months ago, sent it out to the machine shop, and has been carefully reassembling it over the past couple of weeks—all while being pulled away for other jobs.

With several years of hands-on experience, this was Nelson’s first official engine job at Kelly’s.

I love how the team celebrated the milestone with him.

There’s still plenty of road testing and fine-tuning ahead to confirm everything, but Nelson continues to grow into a truly excellent technician.

Two of my favorites in one video!

Dave, of course is one of my favorites and Candy…..well, if you don’t know Candy, you are missing out.

She is spunky, funny and one of the kindest people you will ever meet.

Let’s not forget Esmeralda! She was a little thirsty. 🚘

Thank goodness Candy brought her in for a check up.

Have you checked the fluids in your vehicle?

One of our customers recently asked Justin if there were any discounts available.

Justin replied, “We offer AAA, senior discounts, and a few others.”

She looked at him and said,

“What if I do a cool dance?”

Before Justin could answer, she stood right there in the lobby and broke into a funky dance.

💃😂

We can’t promise dance discounts, but we can promise that our customers keep us laughing.

One of the best parts of our job isn’t just fixing vehicles—it’s getting to know the amazing people who walk through our doors.

Have you ever tried an unconventional way to get a discount?

Sometimes diagnosing a vehicle means taking it on a rolling science experiment.

Nope, we’re not redneck engineering. We’re diagnosing.

Some shops would throw parts at this problem. Jared and our technician Paul decided to prove what was REALLY happening.

Most people think air conditioning repair is just a quick “vac and recharge.”

Sometimes it is.

But sometimes… it’s a two-day job.

In this Jeep’s case, the repair meant removing the door!. Not every AC issue is simple or visible from the outside.

That’s one reason automotive repair can vary so much from vehicle to vehicle. Modern vehicles are packed tighter than ever, and what looks like a small issue can require hours of labor just to reach the problem.

Jared from our Grants Pass shop walks through why this Jeep’s AC repair was anything but “quick and easy.”

We believe in helping people understand not just what we’re doing… but why.

Because informed customers make better decisions. 🚗❄️

We completely understand wanting a second opinion when it comes to brakes. That’s your safety — and your money. You should feel confident.

But here’s something most people don’t realize…

A quick flashlight check through the outside of the wheel only shows the outer brake pad. What it doesn’t show is what may be happening on the inside brake pad.

Sometimes a caliper isn’t working properly.Sometimes a brake pad is sticking. And sometimes the inner brake pad wears down much faster than the outer one.

That means the outside pad may still look “fine” while the inside pad is already getting dangerously thin — or even metal-to-metal.

When that happens:• Braking performance can suffer• Rotors can become damaged• Repairs become much more expensive• Most importantly… it can affect your safety

So whether you come to Kelly’s Automotive Service or somewhere else, ask this question:

“Are you checking both the inner AND outer brake pads?”

A proper brake inspection matters.Because catching problems early usually means safer driving and lower repair costs later.
