Caldwell Collision Inc. has an immediate opening for a Body Shop Assistant General Manager.
Your responsibilities would include the following:
- Perform front office duties; answer phones, handle walk in customers questions and needs, set estimate appointments, learn vendor processing, issue checks via QuickBooks, etc.
- Previous experience with estimate writing on CCC One Estimating Software.
- Inspect, analyze, and evaluate damaged vehicles to create proper estimate(s).
- Write estimates per Caldwell Collision Inc. and Manufacturer guidelines.
- Learn and perform Customer Vehicle Intake Process.
- Create and maintain Repair Order folders per company guidelines.
- Maintain and execute schedules for best workload management and cycle time.
- Help to oversee and manage vehicle workflow and throughput.
- Participate in Daily Morning Production Meetings.
- Help, to compare insurance supplements to determine differences between the insurance supplement and company supplemental submissions.
- Help follow-up with insurance providers for timely supplement response and payment.
- Provide customers with a Single Point of Contact customer service.
- Provide customers with timely and accurate updates and information.
- Develop and maintain customer contact for best possible CSI results.
- Coordinate vehicle owner pick-up times when repair is completed.
- Learn and perform Customer Vehicle Pickup Process.
- Participate in Management Team Activities to promote company and employee success.
- Participate in company Outreach Events.
- Participate in company safety meetings and complying with OSHA Rules.
- Attend industry training as deemed necessary.
- Attend associational meetings as deemed necessary.
- Other duties not listed to provide the best customer experience and company success.
Expectations:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Have a valid driver's license and your own transportation.
- Be drug free and submit to a background check.
- Be on time and reliable. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Be honest and trustworthy.

- Have a healthy working knowledge of, or willing to learn, vehicle nomenclature, construction, and repair.
- Have ability to or be able to learn good negotiation skills.
- Have ability to or be able to learn good sales skills to capture work estimated.
- Have ability to or be able to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures.
- Be able to stoop, bend, lift moderately heavy items and generally be able to do manual labor.
