Facebook is up to its usual shenanigans.
It appears as though the algorithm doesn't always get the posts in front of peoples' eyes. I'm sorry for that! I only have two guesses:
1) Make sure to thumbs up, comment, or share stuff. I *think* engagement like that makes it higher priority so the message gets shared with more of the followers of the page.
2) There may be preferences within your Facebook settings or within the top of the Geek Sale page that you can set to say, "see every post" or "prioritize" or "Set as a favorite." I try not to post too often from here so we don't start coming across as noise (because I know how I start to ignore things when they hit me too often).
I am trying very hard to think of an alternative to Facebook. I don't want to lose our 2500 followers by making a switch, and some of the other social media platforms don't have sufficient infrastructure to share images, schedule real world events, and communicate. I am aware there are two generations of geeks who probably don't have Facebook at all.
This is why I ask y'all to share information. Share it with your DnD group. Share with people on gundam build day at Galactic Toys. Share at the Home School Building Toy Show. Share on your personal pages and with your children's PTA groups. Whatever. It's never been about making money for me, but the larger our community is, the more cool stuff we get to show and share the things we love!
Thanks for reading this far. I talk to much. I'm just old school like that. TikTok is for people with short attention spans. Ha ha.
