Oil density code, for example like SAE 15W-40, indicates how dense or thin an oil is at a certain temperature.
This is important because the thickness of oil greatly affects the performance of the engine.
⚙️Meaning of Numbers and Alphabets
✍️*SAE: Abbreviated for Society of Automotive Engineers, an organization that sets the standard for the automotive industry.
✍️* Numbers before W: Indicates the concentration of oil at cold temperatures. The smaller the numbers, the more oil expands at cold temperatures.
✍️*W: Stands for "Winter" or Winter.
✍️*Numbers after W: Indicates the concentration of oil at high temperatures. The bigger the numbers, the thicker the oil at higher temperatures.

✍️* 15W: It means that this oil is sufficiently soluble to be used at temperatures up to -15 degrees Celcius.
