A little Gratitude post from Christmas 2023.
Although 2023 was yet another year of ups and downs, I find myself trying to look for the good rather than the bad. Not easy sometimes. Grateful the "bads" I am starting to find the "good" in. Also, not easy. But who said life was easy???? lol.. Grateful for my family (no, I didn't say friends because they are my family too) who support me even when I don't deserve it. Thank you all for being in my life. I love you all.
Having said that, I move to a different subject that I hold very dear to my heart, Christmas. This wasn't the first Christmas party we've had; this particular party had a little bit more meaning for me than the previous. This was the first time we had employees with little kids that were able to attend. And I was excited!!! Finally, now in the position to do this for our employees, it has been a longtime secret wish, that actually dates back to the days of working at 'The Slope (AKA) Western Slope Auto Co. There were other perks to working there, but I always thought it was so cool and really a highlight of my Christmas season, that Mike and Kay Ferris would not only have an employee +1 party with food and dancing, but also have an employee kids party as well. (Ours being on a way smaller scale of course, haha) Which by the way, that tradition is still being carried on at Western Slope Auto Co. by Meredith Davis and Kevin Davis..... Santa Claus, gift giving and all. (Although he tried, Santa just couldn't make it to our party this time. Hopefully he will next time though)
We are very grateful for our team of people, because we wouldn't be able to do what we do without them. Thank you.
Wanted to shout out to Mike (RIP) and Kay Ferris for truly being awesome and very grateful to have had you both in our lives shaping our future, even if you didn't know it. 🤗 To Meredith (praying you heal very soon) and Kevin; so many memories and fun times!! WOW.... We have all come so far and have been very blessed. You both are very awesome people and will always be in our hearts. ❤️
Here's to a better year for all!!! Try to be grateful for those you hold dear because tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Make time to take care of yourselves. Blessings!!!!
