Hot rooms usually tell the truth before the thermostat does, and this Redlands home had a few rooms that spoke up every afternoon.

The owner called because the south and west facing glass was letting in more heat than the house could handle. Great windows, uncomfortable living space. We walked the home together, measured how the light moved, and gave plain guidance on residential window tint, including the real benefit and the real limit. Film is not magic. Good film can reject a meaningful amount of solar heat by reflecting and absorbing infrared energy, the part of sunlight you feel as heat, while also reducing glare and blocking UV that fades floors, furniture, and finishes.

Here is a side of commercial window tinting that rarely makes the highlight reel: the removal. Before this building gets new window film, our crew is taking down every panel of the old tint and prepping the glass underneath.

Old film peels away section by section, and then the slower work begins, cleaning the adhesive residue off the glass until each window is completely clear. That step matters more than most people realize. New film will only bond the way it should on a spotless surface, and leftover residue shows through the finished job.

Grand Junction sun is not gentle on window film. Give it enough years and even decent tint starts to bubble, fade, and lose its heat rejection, which is the film's ability to keep the sun's heat from pouring into your cabin.

That is where this 2011 Honda Accord was when it came to us. We removed the old film, cleaned the adhesive off the glass, prepped each window, and installed fresh Ceramic Pro KAVACA ceramic window tint.
