Parking Reminder: Stall Alignment on Campus

As temperatures rise and snow continues to melt, parking stall lines across campus are becoming visible again. This is a great time to double-check how your vehicle is parked.

During the winter months, snow and ice can make it difficult to see stall markings. As lots clear, all vehicles are expected to be parked properly within designated spaces.

Please remember:
• Park fully within marked stall lines
• Pull forward and park straight within your space
• Use designated parking stalls only

Do not park on:
Curbs
Grass or landscaped areas
Sidewalks or crosswalks
Hash-marked areas
Snow piles or non-designated areas

Proper parking helps ensure:
• Safer conditions for pedestrians and drivers
• Efficient use of available parking spaces
• Access for emergency and service vehicles

As conditions improve, parking enforcement will resume regular monitoring of stall alignment and vehicles parked outside of designated areas may receive a citation.
If you have questions or notice safety concerns such as icy conditions, please contact Parking Services at [email protected].

Thank you for helping keep campus safe and accessible for everyone!

Spring Break Parking Update:
We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Spring Break!

During Spring Break, March 9–13, Due to the reduced number of students and staff on campus, ‘E’, ‘S/E’ and ‘SR’ parking lots/zones will be open to all UND permit holders.

A valid permit is still required. Spring Break does not mean free parking.

All other parking regulations remain enforced, including:
• ADA spaces
• Overnight reserved zones
• Special reserved spaces
• Pay-to-Park and Passport areas
• Time-restricted spaces
• Safety zones (e.g., fire lanes, no parking zones, and hashmarks)

Housing zones (Apartment and Residence Halls) will continue to be enforced as usual.

If you plan to leave your vehicle on campus during break, it must remain parked in your assigned housing lot.

If you prefer to keep your vehicle in the Parking Ramp while you’re gone, you may do so by paying for the full duration of your stay at the kiosks on Levels 1 or 4.

If you are unsure where you are permitted to park, please contact Parking Services before parking to avoid a citation.
