More Than Just Paintless Dent Repair... This Is Our Story.
People often ask us how Performance Dent Repair came to be. The truth is, our story didn't begin with opening a business—it began over 30 years ago.
Carlos entered the Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) industry at a time when PDR was still in its infancy. He had the privilege of learning from some of the pioneers who helped shape the industry before it became mainstream. They laid the foundation for the techniques, craftsmanship, and standards that many technicians still follow today.
Over the next two decades, Carlos traveled throughout Europe, Canada, Australia, and across the United States, chasing storms, mastering his craft, and continually sharpening his skills. Every new location brought new challenges, new techniques, and valuable relationships that helped shape the technician he is today.
About 20 years ago, I (Misty) was introduced to the PDR industry. While Carlos was perfecting repairs, I found my passion behind the scenes. I focused on building the business—creating systems, strengthening professional relationships, joining industry organizations, and finding ways to make our company more efficient while providing the best possible customer experience.
Then came COVID.
Like so many businesses, everything changed. International travel came to a stop, and we found ourselves asking the same question many others did: "What's next?"
After many late-night conversations, I decided it was time to sharpen my own skills in a completely different way. I earned my Catastrophe Adjuster License and spent the next year traveling across the United States working catastrophic storm claims. I wanted to understand the insurance claims process from the other side—not just as a repair facility, but from the adjuster's perspective.
The experience was invaluable. It gave me a much deeper understanding of how claims are evaluated, how decisions are made, and how we can better educate and advocate for our customers throughout the repair process. Along the way, I also built friendships and professional relationships with some incredible people across the country.
Seeing the value in that experience, Carlos later earned his Catastrophe Adjuster License as well. Together, we've had the opportunity to see both sides of the industry—the repair side and the insurance side.
When we look back, we realize that every step of our journey has led us to where we are today. Every storm we've chased, every mile we've traveled, every lesson we've learned, and every relationship we've built has become part of the foundation of Performance Dent Repair.
We're proud of the experience we've gained, but we're even more proud of the trust our customers place in us. We believe learning never stops, and we're always looking for ways to grow, improve, and better serve the people who choose us.
