First Draw PPP Loans:
The SBA is reopening the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for First Draw Loans the week of January 11, 2021. Loans are considered First Draw if you did not receive a PPP Loan during the first two iterations of the program that occurred during 2020. First Draw PPP Loans can be used for payroll costs, including benefits, as well as mortgage interest, rent, utilities, worker protection costs related to COVID-19, uninsured property damage incurred as a result of looting or vandalism during 2020, and certain expenses for operations.

Loans will qualify for full forgiveness if during the 8 to 24 weeks following the disbursement:
- Employee compensation and levels are maintained
- Loan proceeds are spent on payroll costs and other eligible expenses; and
- At least 60 percent of the proceeds are spent on payroll costs.

Second Draw PPP Loans:
Eligible borrowers may now apply for a Second Draw PPP Loan. These loans will have the same general terms as the First Draw Loans that were received in 2020. Second Draw Loans can be used to help fund payroll costs, including benefits, as well as mortgage interest, rent, utilities, worker protection costs related to COVID-19, uninsured property damage incurred as a result of looting or vandalism during 2020, and certain expenses for operations.

Borrowers are considered generally eligible for a Second Draw PPP Loan if the borrower:
- Previously received a First Draw PPP loan and will or has used the full amount only for authorized uses;
- Has no more than 300 employees; and
- Can demonstrate at least a 25% reduction in gross receipts between comparable quarters of 2019 and 2020.

Loans will qualify for full forgives if during the 8 to 24 weeks following the disbursement:

- Loan proceeds are spent on payroll costs or other authorized expenses; and
- At least 60 percent of the proceeds are spend on payroll costs.
