Quality Assurance for Aerial Truck Upfitter – Graham NC
Position Summary: We are a utility truck equipment up-fitter specializing in aerial lift installation. The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspection of completed units and documentation of materials, products, and processes.
Salary: TBD based on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties to be performed by the Quality Assurance Inspector in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintain a polite and courteous manner with coworkers, vendors, auditors, and customers
Follow all documented procedures and work instructions including but not limited to customer specific requirements, and all Versalift related processes
Perform inspections on materials, products and processes per procedures and instructions
When necessary, demonstrate good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Clearly and accurately document the results of inspections on materials, products and processes per procedures and instructions. This can include filling in forms, computer data entry, placing material in the quality hold area, issuing and following up on quality issues, and accurate filing of documents in a computer data base.
Notify of any failure to meet specifications of materials, products or processes, work with team leads and shop management to correct issues.
File and maintain records of inspections
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment as well as complying with 6S guidelines.
Must have ability to inspect a completed aerial lift truck, fully operate and test the lift truck, and determine truck has been built to the customer specifications.
Other duties as assigned.

Have the ability to lift 75 lbs., bend, kneel, squat and climb up/down on trucks
Preferred Education and Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent
2 years previous inspection experience preferably in the automotive industry
Ability to read, write, perform basic math skills, speak and understand English
Ability to understand and follow schematics and specifications
Computer skills, including MS Office Excel and Word
Understanding ANSI regulations and DOT inspection experience, a plus
General knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical, a plus
