🔧 SOMETIMES, A ROUTINE JOB TURNS INTO A MUCH BIGGER REPAIR.

What started as a lifter replacement and adjustable pushrod installation turned into a much more involved job when we discovered an overtightened spark plug and a damaged, stripped spark plug port.

The damage required removal of the rear cylinder head so it could be sent to a machine shop for repair.

This is a good reminder that torque specifications matter. Spark plugs and other fasteners can be damaged by overtightening, and what seems like a small mistake can quickly turn into a costly repair.

Whether you’re doing your own maintenance or having work done professionally, following the correct service procedures and torque specifications is critical.

Things are starting to come together around here, and we’re pretty damn excited about it.

First up — the new Rodeo’s Performance Garage sign is here! 🪧🤠

Thank you Williams Signs!

It’s a big step toward making the shop look like the home of Rodeo’s Performance Garage that we’ve been building. Now we just need to get it mounted where it belongs!

And while we were at it…

🏍️ We added another piece of equipment to the shop — a Derek Weaver Company, Inc. motorcycle lift table.

This second lift is going to make a lot of jobs easier and more efficient, from tires and wheels, to brakes, suspension, exhaust, service work and everything in between.

Little by little, we’re continuing to invest in the shop, the equipment, and most importantly, the services we can provide to our customers.

We’re still growing. We’re still building. And we’re just getting started.

Customer: “my battery keeps dying”

Sometimes it’s more than just a bad battery…

This one came in with a charging issue, and we found the real problem: the stator rotor was coming apart and losing its magnets! 😳

When those magnets let go, they can wreak havoc inside the charging system and the primary. That’s why proper diagnostics matter — replacing a battery without finding the root cause won’t fix the problem.
