Just dropping in to let everyone know that there is a new shop operating at TCD's former location on Herter Industrial Drive in Godfrey. I say new, but Premier Automotive Inc. has been in business for over 20 years. Jim opened up here two weeks ago and had a great write-up in the Telegraph...check it out.

This building was meant to be an auto shop and TJ spent 10 great years wrenching in here. I know that he would be glad to see Jim and Premier in there helping out the folks of the greater Alton/Godfrey area. Stop by and see them for your automotive needs, they are a good crew and they will get you going.

Today was the last official day of business at Tri County Diesel Inc. TJ Hughes founded this company out of our home garage in 2008 and moved to the current location in Godfrey in 2012. He poured his heart and soul into his business for over a decade, and he took pride in his work.

Our family wants to thank his loyal customers for their dedication over the years. We know many of you by name now and are happy when we see a TCD sticker on a truck or someone sporting one of the shop hoodies/t-shirts. Thank you for trusting TJ and making us smile.

To the many current and former employees, thank you for being part of the madness. We are super sorry if you don't like your TJ nickname, they are nonrefundable and you are stuck with it. You know who you are and what you mean to all of us, and it is not stretching to say we wouldn't have made it through the last several months without you. Thank you all for being part of TJ's legacy.

We have limited merchandise remaining at the shop and will post that here over the weekend. Stay safe this holiday weekend and thank you again for your support.
