the season is upon us and its time to go camping. Its also time to look over your rig and perform some pre-camping maintenance. I'd love you say its a quick visual review, but that's would be a fib. Start at the top and work your way down.
1. Inspect the roof. Check your seals for cracks, pealing, anything that looks suspicious. When in doubt....seal it. Even a simple layover of sealant can save you $$$$$$$. DiCor Self leveling Lap Sealant is the best for TPO/EPDM roofs. If you have moved on to Tropicool it may be time to touch it up.
2. Does your TPO/RPDM roof need to be cleaned and conditioned? If its never been done then the answer is probably yes. Treat your roof right and it will save you $$$$$$$.
3. inspect your vent caps, vent covers, sky lights for cracks or breaks. There has been a lot hail damage in our part of the country this past month. Even a little crack will let moisture through.
4. And since you're up there its time to clean your AC. Get the bugs out (literally), clean your fins, check for anything that is out of normal.
5. Check your AC and Fridge vent cap for any signs of varmints chewing on them. The lil creatures can do a ton of damage.
Best of luck and enjoy your rigs.
